What a great time to be a Street Fighter fan! I mean, really!
This was the one time that Capcom went against the expectations of fans and STILL managed to make fans happy!
I’d hate to say that I told you so, but I just can’t help myself: I told you so.
Prior to the recent announcements, many fans were convinced that the upcoming season of characters would entirely consist of the characters featured on the Street Fighter 30th Year Anniversary Collection tarot cards.
I can’t speak for everyone, but I’m definitely satisfied with the characters that blindsided us. Street Fighter 5: Season 5 is turning out to look as promising as we all had hoped!

Since Asuka Kazama wore a Akira Kazama costume in Street Fighter X Tekken I hope someday Akira Kazama would be in a Street Fighter game. This makes up for Capcom Fighting All-Stars year's ago.

Nothing will make up for Capcom Fighting All Stars for me, but I'd love for that to happen. At the very least, I'd love to see an Asuka costume for Akira.

@Nova It depends what's going with Street Fighter 6 if Capcom smart they will have two more seasons so they can take they're time on Street Fighter 6 and not rush the game.

I hope not. Then again, they were consent with the sales of S4 and the sales for S5 is going to be even better, I predict.

I've been waiting for a Rival Schools characters to be in a Street Fighter game for ages and now we having it I hope to see Batsu, Kyosuke, Hyo, Roy, Tiffany, Kyoko etc in the future especially since Rival Schools takes place in the same universe as Street Fighter, Final Fight and we have yet to a Saturday Night Slam Masters character in Street Fighter to further bridge the storylines for all 4 games.

You and me both! There were so many Final Fight characters in Street Fighter 5, I hope that they have that same energy with Street Fighter 6.

@@roscodantethefightinggamen7939 I hope so and Capcom need to retire Final Fight characters being in Street Fighter but it's obvious Yoshinori Ono been doing this and holding Rival Schools characters back from being in Street Fighter but I hope VI which been leaked and it's in development I hope to see more Rival Schools characters on the way. We have Poison, Guy, Cody, Abigail, Hugo, Lucia, Rolento etc in Street Fighter we don't need no more if we do Edi. E, Roxy, Haggar and Philippe the last 4 Final Fight characters I'll put in Street Fighter.

1. Dan could have been replace with Sean or Makoto 2. Rose was long overdue fans heavily wanted her back maybe she avenge Menat. 3. Oro I wanted in Street Fighter VI but I'll settle with him in V. 4. Akira is the biggest reveal out of all Street Fighter DLC's I've been wanting Rival Schools characters in Street Fighter for YEARS I haven't played a Rival Schools character since Tatsunoko vs. Capcom when Batsu was the only Rival Schools character in the game I'm so eager to see more Rival Schools/Project Justice characters in Street Fighter! 5. The 5th character I don't know I don't want to even guess the 5th character until Capcom drop hints for the character it be nice if it's a guest character making their canonical appearance in a Street Fighter game. The reason we have a Season V is because Street Fighter VI had poor reception from testers which also turned out Yoshinori Ono apparent approach was he was relying on a small team that was creating 6 and the game mechanics had poor reception from testers and he was demoted but I guess his emotions got the best of him and he quit Capcom after 30 something years I appreciate what he for the FGC and reviving Street Fighter again but his vision on Street Fighter VI shows how uncaring he was gonna be for the game I'm glad the new Capcom team caught him and now Street Fighter 6 is coming along real smoothly and that's why we got a Season V at the last minute I also read SFVI will take a realistic approach.

@@roscodantethefightinggamen7939That and G. I think G is not human because of his eyes I scene the picture of him and in it he had the image of the Earth in he's eyes and Gill thought him he said about he's powers he felt somewhere before but he don't know where.

I can't wait to play as Akira finally we get to play as a Rival School character in this modern era I can't wait to play Akira in her helmet costume Akira was a main of mines when I played Rival Schools back on the first PlayStation sad nobody don't know much about Rival Schools/Project Justice. And since Ono is gone from Capcom and Capcom fighting games are free from imprisonment we getting new Rival Schools, Darkstalkers and maybe a new Power Stone game.

I always figured that it was Capcom that had a cholehold on their properties. Ono wanted to bring back DS, but Capcom's ridiculous expectations prevented it.

@@roscodantethefightinggamen7939 Ono left cause he wasn't having his way on Street Fighter VI from multiple sources Street Fighter 6 is currently in development but was delayed cause testers was very displeased how Ono was handling the game focusing on a team mechanic which why he got demoted in the first place you see Street Fighter VI was gonna be another disaster and the new developing team caught it before it got worse Ono mishandled Street Fighter X Tekken, Street Fighter V and Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite and he was gonna do the same for Street Fighter VI. I'm not throwing shade at Ono I give him much credit and respect and wish him the best in his endeavors but him leaving Capcom is really bittersweet for Capcom Fighting Games now Capcom suppose to bring back Rival Schools, Darkstalkers and some crossovers allegedly in the works.

The 5th character might be a SNK fighting games character if it is it might be Terry Bogard or Kyo, Ryo, Rugal or Mai? It can be a Tekken character more likely Jin, Kazuya or Heihachi it might be Kazuya and it makes sense cause Akuma in Tekken 7 or maybe the 5th character a surprise Street Fighter character only surprise Street Fighter I see is if it's Ingrid, Q, Violent Ken or maybe even Goutetsu the master of Akuma & Gouken.

If it was Kyo, it would be a nice nice nod to Capcom Fighting All Stars when he was supposed to be a secret character. I'm just as excited, it could be anyone.

@@roscodantethefightinggamen7939 I did not even knew that Kyo was gonna guess star in Capcom Fighting All Stars but Ryu and Kyo had a rivalry in the Capcom vs SNK series any SNK character from my lineup I be please with especially Rugal I hope the 5th character a good one cause when Ultra Street Fighter IV 5 DLC characters was announce Capcom put Rolento, Elena, Poison and Hugo who was easier to put in IV since they were in Street Fighter X Tekken the year before we had to wait a very long time for the 5th character and it turned out to be Decapre I like Decapre she's a beast but her reveal wasn't all that especially since she was a brand new character at the time.

I am so late! I just read his resignation and it tempted me with some water works. After his demotion, I figured something was going on. He was someone who really cared about Capcom's properties, and in a way, our last lifeline to getting a new Darkstalkers game.
