This video is about making a beautiful bird out of cutlery provided to me by a client, using items of sentiment to produce an elegant and unique creation.
Also, I experiment with bicycle gear cogs to form the inner wing, an elegant solution I think, I will be using this again going forward. I can surely use this to decorate and / or construct the main body of any given creature. For now it's birds, and here is the first ...

@@JohnNorrisMetalSculpture It didn't go to plan, my ipad locked me out and as i was copying your design i had to make made a dragonfly instead, plus my knives were not as fancy/nice as yours so one day soon, btw that bird and your other stuff esp the Predator are superb, well done.

Hope it goes well, RU-vid it, ill enjoy watching for a change. P.S. Namaste just means 'my spirit salutes yours' or something along those lines, no bowing involved, just an expression of mutual respect.@@howardridge1153

really nice work but you want to make a mount? i would make it hangable imagining it under the roof of a pavillion or a canopy with a wind chime under it and where are the legs/feets ^^

Thanks. Nice idea too. It's not meant to have feet, this bird is forever flying, long story which will be explained at the end of the next video.

@@JohnNorrisMetalSculpture ok it also makes sense lots of birds tug their feet under the feathers while midair cuz higher up its colder and the skin on the feet needs protection cant wait for the outcome of the project looks really nice keep up the work

I’m trying this metal sculpture making but struggle to find enough cutlery! How do you source it? Thanks

Try your local charity shops, although many won't sell knives (even butter knives!). Better still, some charity shops have chains and often a local (ish) sorting warehouse where everything gets collected. If you can make a contact there then you should find a plentiful supply. Suggest you try and get a contact email from a local shop for a sorting depot manager. More often than not they send it all off to the scrap yard but if you can get them to dump it all in a large plastic tub for you then you might just get it all at scrap value and save them a journey in the process. Also much cheaper this way!
