Frieren stating that she stopped fighting demons 500 years ago likely explains why Aura had never heard of her before Himmel's time. We also see her dedication to her master's technique. For a long time she believed it wasn't possible for her to adventure or fight again, yet she never stopped suppressing her mana.

Now we know that all main characters are orphans - Frieren, Fern, Sein, Stark.

Sein can be translated as "to be/exist" ... as in Shakespeares "Sein oder Nichtsein, das ist hier die Frage." ..... "To be or not to be, that is the question."

Sein's brother passive-aggressively pushing him to leave by making home conveniences ridiculously not. Then along comes Frieren's party and problem solved. He stayed for himself because he liked the small town life. No regrets right? Heiter understood that but still recognized his skill with a titled medallion.

Fern and Stark were easily seduced by the kiss since they were both raised in isolated circumstances (neither had contact with the opposite sex around their age), so as little as a blown kiss was enough to think of it as "sexy"

As Frieren hides many things, sometimes she is mischievous and the viewer does not realize it because of her straight face. I am so sure she could pull out Sein at any time with the levitating spell (remember the harvesting). It could be that Sein mistook her with a child and this was Frierens way to pay back. Also this episode had three wrong advices by masters (poison, drinking, flirting) and did you get the fish? Onee san is older sister. Simple a grown up womanly women not an "Old" one.

"I wish life were that simple" also! Frieren has already been to Ende to destroy the Demon King, and she did not come across any Heaven there. So there is something of a mystery here. Flash backs show Ende to be cold and dark, and yet other flash backs show Aureole to be bright and sunny. Something of a mystery.
