PowerPanda just released their mash up F-Zero: Vintage Velocity...which takes F-Zero on SNES and it's tracks and marries them to F-Zero: Maximum Velocity on the Game Boy Advance. Basically it's a new Nintendo game and a new F-Zero game...except also not! It works great on the MiSTerFPGA Game Boy Advance core, on real Game Boy Advance hardware and via Game Boy Advance emulation...the trifecta! Because apparently Nintendo won't make a new F-Zero game that isn't F-Zero 99...so fans did it for them!

I don't know, F-Zero 99 seems content heavy enough to be considered a new game. The 99-player dynamic is just phenomenal.

@@bearonguitar Two fans of the mod put these out. The new title screen is available as of v1.1. The music replacement is an addendum patch that imports music from F-Zero Climax. It is not rolled into the main patch, as it is outside of the mod's scope, but I know that many people are enjoying it.

I released a new mod called "Vintage Velocity Ace" that replaces the Rook Series with the Ace Series from BS F-Zero Grand Prix 2 Practice. So it includes Mute City IV, Big Blue II, Sand Storm I, Silence II, and Sand Storm II. These 5 courses will also be included in the upcoming Vintage Velocity II, alongside the Forest and Metal Fort courses. It's up on Romhack Plaza, since RHDN is sadly no more.

F-Zero is the game that made me a buff of the Super Nintendo VGE. Everything about that game was perfect. Interestingly, it wasn't Super Mario World. I felt the era of "need for speed" at the time was essential for showing the home consoles power of what the SNES had to offer after playing Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis. Anthony..

Yep i agree with f-zero being forgotten by nintendo, but what about lolo. One of my favorite games ever and nintendo just gave up on it. The replaced lolo with kirby and throwed lolo and lala out the window.
