Janet is a very classy girl. We need more like her in this hobby. That way women like her will force us to keep our layout rooms cleaner and increase our chances of getting a visit from such a classy woman like her.
SWEET! ! ! ! I ordered mine from Otter Valley, phase 3 narrow and phase 4b/6 and I cannot wait to get mine. As an Amtrak fan / modeller, I have never heard them referred to as Amfleet 3's, the official scheme number for the current scheme is VI but some still call it IVb, there isn't really a wrong term for it. 9:17 what Janet said.... LMAO lol. Keep the Amtrak cars coming guys and gals!!
Hello Rapido trains. I would love to see you guys do a F9 or FP9 in Chicago and Northwestern paint. Especially the ones that were used in commuter service in Chicago. And if you do Chicago & Northwestern. Make sure you put in the red marker lights. It was kind of like their tail lights when they go backwards in toward Chicago. Thanks again for a great video. Mr. Bill CNW
Gotta love your videos. A serious company doing seriously good work in recreating rolling stock and you know enough to get a laugh out of yourselves. 👍👍 to you all! You are all true Canadians!
You guys and gal are hilarious, I really enjoy these light hearted yet informative videos. The New Horizon cars look fantastic and that F40PH, simply awesome. Cheers, Rich S.
It's very hard to get these Amtrak Horizon cars, out of stock pretty much everywhere. My order for 2 coaches just got cancelled, but at least I was able to get a Diner
rapidotrains Yep they’re both beautiful. But Janet is a attractive woman. Whoever her boyfriend is or husband he’s a one lucky guy. You guys keep up the good work Rapido is really becoming my favorite locomotive
Ok, you guys did it... living not far from milepost 290 on CN’s Flint Sub it looks like I’ll be placing that order for 4 coaches and 1 cafe car in Amtrak phase IVb (or phase 6 per NRPC) to model a Blue Water consist. Good for a Wolverine set too.
I will be buying both sets of NJ Transit cars with the cab cars. These are gonna be perfect for Atlantic City Line service once I build my layout. Thanks so much guys for making these. I really like my B36-7s and can't wait for the Flexiflo hoppers too! Rapido seems to really be on point when it comes to making models I want right now. I just realized I don't have any of your F40PHs in phase three paint yet. Crap there goes my wallet...
one of the reasons i like buying rapido products. You guys, and gal. just have so much fun when doing videos. and to me shows the passion for the hobby, the product, and the model train community. What is the odds of you guys coming to Strasburg May 15-16-17 for the annual you tube meet and greet? hey now I had to ask,,
Via rail Turbo 1967-1982 Vs Amtrak F40PH and horison coachs 1990s- 2000s. Decisions Decisions. This a great rail fan comedy as well as model demo video.
Omg I need these are you guys considering all the types of viewliner cars that came out even the new baggage, dining, sleeper, and baggage crew cars? Love your product and keep up the good work and funny videos
Not sure what you mean. We have two versions: as delivered, and as finally modified. We aren't doing the half-and-half version with one original door and one rebuilt door.
I'm thinking about ordering the SEPTA version of the Comet cars. I have an HO AEM 7 with SEPTA paint schema and the new ACS-64 Been looking for the SEPTA cars off and on for years.
@10:20 to get into the car, you will need this, What is this??? lmmfao Also was anyone disappointed that Janet didn't yell SHRON!!!!!! when she beamed into the room in the middle of the fight???
On all the Horizon Dinette cars I've been on, the floorplan is reversed of what is shown here. If you were standing behind the dinette counter (working), the tables would be to you right, and business class seats to your left facing away from the counter. Are there multiple floor plans?
@@rapidotrains Has to be, the more I'm thinking about it, they didn't have anywhere near that may tables either, only four, maybe five. The business class was larger, but still at the restroom end, basically the dinette counter is on the wrong side of the car and is further away from the restrooms. The last one I was on was on the Missouri River Runner, part of the Amtrak Midwest fleet.
Please don't leave us N Scale modelers out in the cold. We are looking forward to these models as well. So how about a "Show and Tell" on the N Scale front
I do have to say, I liked that Walthers offered a non-lighted version for a little cheaper. I've never understood why people like lighted passenger cars - you can't see it in real life during the daytime so it just looks like there's a massive bonfire inside every car
Our customers seem to prefer it added from the factory, but we design the lights so they can be turned off easily. We've also chosen a light intensity that isn't too overpowering. Realistically leaving the lighting out wouldn't achieve much of a cost savings as they only add a couple dollars to the production cost.
rapidotrains Fair enough. Thanks for the response. Now that I think about it, the MSRP for the non-lighted version was probably the real price, as opposed to the other way around.
July 19th, 2018 you uploaded a video of the Draper Taper in N Scale. Since then it's been radio silence. Can we get an update on this locomotive please?! I ordered mine well over a year ago and am getting real antsy!!
@@rapidotrains Thank you for the quick reply, very excited for this release. The pictures of 4615 on the rapidotrains website look awesome! Can't wait to see how the BC Rail Locos come out.
Jordan is a master troller, better fire him (again) Seriously though you guys knocked it out the park again. If I didn't have the ski train on preorder already I would have gotten some of these. Great job regardless
Is it just me? The dinette has too many windows in it. On the Club coach end there should only two full sized windows on it between the two half sized ones. windowa
We have tooled all of the possible window arrangements. Our Dinette-Club car does indeed have two large windows in the business class end, as does the rebuilt Dinette. The original full Dinette has three large windows on one side, two on the other.
So jealous of you diesel and lightweight passenger car guys. How about this? A Rapido 1936 reproduction of the 9 car International Limited with the original black K5A Hudson on the point? Never gonna happen. Demographics. Oh well ... I do have all the Super Continental cars and have the diner on order. Not too bad. And, in green, black and gold! eh Jason?
@@rapidotrains Its just that to me Amtrak represents an end to an era. Amtrak as you know took over passenger service on the railroads, and I really like all the different types and colors of passenger equipment before that time. I can understand that people like Amtrak because we're all different and there's plenty of different in model railroading to satisfy anyone's taste for trains. Excellent models as always and keep up the good work. Maybe a GG1 Amtrak? Didn't they run some of those in Amtrak colors? 👍
