Check out my new loft that I’ve converted for my Birmigham roller pigeons. Also check out the growing team of young birds and have a look around the changes I’ve made to the kit box. Enjoy the video guys!
Darin Brewer yes that’s a good point. There’s two very young ones that ain’t really flying at the moment and it’s normally those two that sit on roof. Once birds are all old enough to fly properly then I won’t let any sit on the roof.
Yeah I made massive error of letting some young birds land on a telegraph wire. Soon enough I had 20 birds on a wire and nothing would move them. Even taking the 1st landers away I'd let the habit develop and ruined the lot. An old pro who was helping me massively let's his land once or twice and takes them out for a couple weeks. Tries them again n if they land early they ferret food. Harsh but I wish I'd done it. Wasted a season. And also 2 kit box's won't be enough lol! I started out with 20 birds for a bit mess on. Ended up with 65 in a few years. Stock, young, old, good and triers ha ha. Best lesson iv learned is breed only from the best and keep no shite. Don't matter on colour or looks its all about performance. Yes some might improve and u may cull the odd 1 that would make it but in the whole if they ain't doin it get shot early or u end up with a loft of mediocre birds and lose momentum. Class vid and good luck. They are impossible to master😂
