A New Neighbor

I gave the girls some cantaloupe and was surprised at their reaction. Also a new, kind of noisy, neighbor. Last July (2023) My son, Angel, and I went to Tractor Supply and bought 5 little Wyandotte chicks. We never owned chickens before. We did not know what we were getting into. We live in a city in Kansas. Long story short. They are bad! (and curious and funny) Major Pepper is the one who comes running for food first. Mable is the mother hen and the leader. The three others names are Matilda (poor Matilda gets bullied), Minnie Pearl and Mercury. Chickens are funny. I hope you enjoy watching. If you do thanks and please like 👍 and Subscribe! One of my favorite things about my neighborhood is that half of the people around here have chickens. I often hear their roosters crowing while I take walks.

Interesting, the feather color and pattern look like my Sebright chickens, there's even some blue on their legs and a similar rose comb, but yours are 4x bigger :p I did a little searching on Wyandottes and apparently the were called American Sebrights are some point, so makes sense!

I skimmed over the title and thought it said chickens are unsure about cannabis....... I was going to say yeah but they sure are especially after the first time they tried it without thinking😂

Mine weren't sure about cantaloup at first, but they like it now. Watermelon is their favorite though. I'm going to give them one now actually. Looks like you have a couple of silver laced wyandottes. I have 4 of those. Are the others gold laced wyandottes? I really like my chickens though. Started a few years ago. Never had any before that. Cool birds. I'm up to 15 now

Yes the orange ones gold lace. I plan to get more. Maybe next year.
