Very nice playing! I recently picked up a D65, in nearly perfect condition. Yamaha organs are some of the best I've seen in terms of sound and build quality, with a lot of them still kicking after all those years.
Thankyou. This B-805 came up for auction very locally to me with the bidding starting at 99p. After 10 days I was the only bidder and won it at 99p. Its in mint condition and the only thing that doesn't work is the 8' flute on the lower manual, but I'll open it up soon and clean the contacts etc. Yes, Yamaha instruments are always quality. I love its warm sound and wholesome deep bass
@@elcaballoloco7288 I'm in England and 99 pence in British sterling. 99p is basically nothing. In Britain, vintage organs are still easily available and they usually come up for sale/ for free in house clearances by sons and daughters of their late parents / grandparents etc. In which they just want them out the houses. If no one buys them or takes them away for free, they often get smashed up and taken to the tip which breaks my heart. If the organs are local to me, the organ fairy (me) goes and saves them to put in my house.
Beautiful sound from these. We had a Yamaha B-75 from about 4 years earlier than this, less registrations than your B-805. There are not many Yamaha organs of this era for sale we I am. A few pop up from time to time, more of the simpler models. I just bought a Yamaha FX-20 (1983), the last of the behemoths, very rare here. I really want a E-75, but I haven't seen any for sale for years.
I like the synth sounds on this organ. Yes they are synth sounds on this organ but they’re more string synth sounds. Eminent did this with there organs.
Very nice . I have D065 which doesn’t work anymore. I bought it back in 1980 . I took it to the dealer but they couldn’t repair it as spares are not available. How sad
Thankyou. Did the dealer diagnose what was wrong with it? Most of the organs I've repaired with problems, have been straight forward and easy to fix. The only problem is, you really need to learn how to fix them yourself and learn about electronics etc because the cost to hire a repairer and his labour time etc is sadly not economically viable, as repairing them can take a long time.
@@krevis81 thanks a lot for your comment. The dealer was talking about circuit boards but don’t have the details . It was kept with them for 2 months without any result.
I had the same organ (yamaha electone b-805) as you many years ago, unfortunately mine does not work anymore :( I prefer old voices a thousand times over new ones
If you still want to use it, maybe you get it looked at? It could be a very simple fix. Yes, I prefer old analogue organs too with how they sound and feel.
@@krevis81 your organ looks like a new one! yes the sounds are better and when we animated the masses, it was harmonious and pleasant to listen to. I wish you to enjoy the hold as long as possible ... and if by chance you do not want your organ anymore, I am a taker lol
Thanks. No, there is no rotary speaker in this model. It does have real spring reverb though. The B-805 only simulates a leslie by use of the tremolo switch which you can select on or off and also alter the tremolo speed with a rotary pot.
Yes, the b-805 has a mono aux out which is rca. This goes to my mixer, then my amp, then into my audio interface and then into my PC in which I'm running audacity to record. The b805 has mono aux in too which is handy for my Hammond av64 drum box. But even if the b805 had no aux out, I'd just use the headphone out to record from instead.
@@krevis81 wow. Thanks for your info. Btw, i see on youtube that the hammonds amp could be play as electric guitar amp. Is it can be applied for electone to? Thanks for your enlightment
