A New School for a New Country 

Education gives hope for the future, and the educational institute the Jesuits are building in Timor-Leste will help the people of this young country realize their dreams. Instituto de Educação Jesuíta has been years in the planning. Find out the story behind it in this video, A New School for a New Country.
Instituto de Educação Jesuíta comprises a secondary school and a teacher education academy. The senior secondary school, Colégio de Santo Inácio de Loiolá, opened in January 2013 with its first students at Year 7. The teacher education academy, Colégio de São João de Brito, will begin in 2014.
Construction continues even as the students have their classes. There is much to be done if Instituto de Educação Jesuíta is to be completed in 2018 as scheduled.
