Hey friends! It's been a while. I recently moved into a new studio space to separate my work and home life a little bit and it's been really good for my headspace. I shared vlogs of me first moving into my apartment years ago and so I thought I'd continue the journey of showing you guys how I keep cultivating a space to create. This is just the beginning but I think it will really take shape in the coming weeks!
In other news, I'm just keeping busy with a lot of projects. I actually have some videos I've finished and are just sitting waiting for the right time to be released! But new music is on the way, when the time is right!

What a lovely little space to set aside for creating and I'm sure it's nice to have the home space be... Home space. 💜 Thanks for sharing. God bless you as I'm not really sure what my life would be like without the music you create. So different from anything else out there and so suited for my ear, heart and worship. And I know it blesses so many besides myself. 🙏🏼

I separated a music studio space off last year - what a difference. I grow veg in the garden, live in the house and work in the studio - should have done this years ago.

Acoustically speaking placing the monitors on the short side of the room would be ideal, but if you are creating music more than mixing/mastering, you can probably get away with a different setup

Just moved my office to a different part of the house and also chose the "window to the left" option. Definitely nice to be able to see a view instead of just having a backlight. Working in a different place absolutely helps. When I shut my office door it's like turning off work mode and turning on dad/husband mode. I think you'll see the benefits for sure.

That's a great move Jonathan, you must have felt excited about the change and even get more inspiration to create. Awesome! My studio is similar with my desk by the window, i can't do separated music space at the moment so i'm always tempted to jump on the piano and continue working on my projects. 🤣

Congrats on getting your studio space! So cool! =) For acoustic reasons, I’d go symmetrical, so putting the desk on the window side. That would also allow you to get some distance at least to the window wall which might be necessary for avoiding muddy bass buildup. And it would be pretty easy to install some diffusion on the door (if that’s even necessary in such a narrow room).
