A new start 

It’s a sadness to me that such great content, and your great journey has caused you stress. I watch your videos because it’s a massive escape from dull, wet days, and four walls in the UK. For me, I just love the images of trees, the snow, your lovely house and you lovely people. I don’t need a message or story. So, dip in when you have time and if you don’t feel like it, don’t! 50k subscribers can’t be wrong.

Please Note: I have never ever written to anyone on RU-vid or Instagram, but felt I needed to share my thoughts on Jack stepping back. Dear Naomi and Jack - thank you for sharing your life with everyone. I totally understand Jack's perspective and I'm sure he will be in videos here and there in the future. I watch another channel of a young woman, who I guess gives me the same feeling of inspration you've provided, and her husband is fun and interesting like Jack, but is not a part of her daily content. She is from the US but lives in Korea with her husband. Naomi - I am an older single parent who has dated and married outside my race, which is not always an easy thing to manage in the US. Now going through a divorce, I think I retreated into my own self preservation and decided to forego any relations for awhile. Your relationship has been very refreshing and wonderful, so I can't express my gratitude. Please continue to share your perspective and elloquent words. Jack - I have so enjoyed watching your adoration toward Naomi and your perspective on life in general. It's wonderful to see both perspectives in a relationship and your display of support with each other. Your contribution was/is enormous, and your creative perspective and open discussion has been an inspiration. Every week I look forward to being inspired to do a project, learn to appreciate the simpler things in life, or simply enjoy the people in my life and my surroundings. Even though Naomi will take over this channel, I know you will still be a part of it and I am certain Naomi will shine as always. I will continue to look forward to viewing your channel every week, and will support any decision you make moving forward in appreciation. Your content, especially during COVID, has really helped to keep a positive outlook on life, and always brings a smile to my face. Thank you Thank you Thank you! This is not a joke - I live in Sweden and can say the dark winter season is tough. If you're not used to it, it can be quite devastating. Especially if you already struggle with anxiety.

You both have so much to offer - just a "what we did today" video is enough for me. Videos don't need a "message" or riveting excitement to be a draw. Most of us like visiting & checking in on your lives in Sweden. Natural flow of life versus something forced or staged. We're cheering you both on!

Be gentle with yourselves, it’s completely fine to do different things as a couple. I’m an actor/singer/ artist/musician and my husband of 31 years is a civil engineer. We’re best friends and that’s what has kept us strong as a couple. We find things we love to do together and there are loads of things we each do on our own. Praying for you both going forward. You have had a massively eventful year, it’s only natural that you are both finding your way, all of life is a journey and change is good. I’ll be watching you Naomi! Mental health always comes first. I can understand you Jack, I feel the same way. I got promoted at my job and have a lot more responsibility there and that drives my anxiety up as well and so that part currently needs a lot more strength and attention in my life and I'm reorganizing my life right now to deal with it. As a fellow introvert (and a fair level of ASD) I can 100% sympathize with how Jack has felt. I have been in a small number of videos on RU-vid and even though they have been nothing but positive, with kind feedback and a fair bit of humor in them, it still drains me mentally. I feel hollow and stressed, regardless of how good the video is and regardless of the positive feedback. A few years ago I used to feel like this is something I need to work through, keep pushing myself until I stop feeling drained and stressed out, but I have come to realize that I am just trying to grow a seed into a plant in the wrong climate. I have to accept who I am and not try to force myself to grow and adapt in a way I simply am not suited for. Once in a while I still will push myself a little, but it will never be a regular thing, as that would drain my life of happiness.

I can’t stop crying...I love you guys so much. Do what makes you happy and free. Free to live.

I know something about mental health from personal experience when my wife died slowly of early onset Alzheimer's and I struggled with a deep depression for some years. You both sound real and genuine and those are good foundations. Jack is wise to listen to his anxieties and their fluctuations. It's a difficult thing to balance what we should listen to inside as Naomi has explored in numerous videos. Working through our own concerns and worries is a journey and those things rarely involve an epiphany or breakthrough, but rather are like an evolution of our relationship with our own assessments of ourselves. I think you've done well telling us how things are in keeping things real, and I hope that Jack feels a greater sense of self authorization to be himself with less of the concerns that were expressed. My best wishes to you both and I feel confident Naomi will grow in her own voice and style. There is no reason not to narrate what Jack is doing as part of that.

When I saw the title of this upload I thought what! no! they can't be breaking up, so thank goodness the news is not so bad. Jack hid it well, yes I did notice he was spending less time in front of the camera but I put that down to him spending more time in his shed/office because his workload had increased. When the snow melts and the temperature starts getting warmer maybe he will occasionally chip in, but either way it's very understanding and considerate of you Naomi to accept Jack's decision, so its onwards and upwards from here, all the best.
