I am new to this, but ICP tokens get burnt as CPU cycles, right? Since its value is backed by a real physical thing (just like the USD gold standard of decades past), I would epect its trading prices to be stable in the long run. Very excited for this technology!
How it is hackproof? can anyone explain? because I like this concept of Internet Computer and that box where one can store running software and there is no backdoor access etc.
basicly because internet computer involves something called cryptography witch is the fundemantel form of storing data on internet computer, cryptography is a form of storing data that is impossible to manipulate because its encrypted in something called a chain, for example a block chain which essentially is a data base where the blocks only can be available through mining, so the chain cant be manipulated as that is the core of its purpose. but i think i am just an idiot, so dont listen to me
At the moment I cannot imagine how data can be safely stored in the "computer", the app has access but nobody else? Like it is describe for the dating app (min 16:40...) in the video. If this really works that would be amazing, but can somebody please explain how? I mean: If code can decrypt private database how can somebody else be prevented to use the the code to decrypt the private database by himself?
I am hedging on the side that its not as fool proof as they want it to be yet. That is my personal opinion. I dont have too much hope for this project until they start clarifying several of these controversys.

Icp, why wasn’t listed years back to the cmc, something is fishy.. seems like rich ppl were scooping ICP super cheap before public offer, then out of nowhere this pop up? So the poor ppl (us) pump for the rich or fortunate early buyer? Doesn’t sound fair to me...
Note how he refers to poor people and then in parentheses says "us" thats not something a poor person would say. They may say average person, retail investor, etc but its all the same thing. Theyre trying to create an us vs. Them dichotomy. They're trying to kill this before it gets started.

Did you buy in 700? hahaha poor deluded, you have to see the fundamentals, the capitalization of the project and obviously that something just came out with 40 billion in capitalization is something to worry about. It's not Dfinity's problem that there are a lot of investors who bought.
I like this project, but Dom needs to have a sit-down with Cedric on how to be camera friendly. All of the ums and ahms + pauses really aren't very audience friendly. If you want to be an evangelist for the internet computer, please refine your public speaking skills.
Every dev knows decentralized apps have overhead. I cannot imagine anyone with the right mind moving project that works well on GCloud/Azure/AWS/on-premise to some soup of nodes that does not guarantee performance characteristics. Moreover in "traditional" clouds I can choose to pay extra $ for backup, failover, additonal firewalls - this is real value. Not just some "upload" button that helps me publish trash.
