So we all know that the Tether Hunter is one of the best builds if your trying to complete or farm legend Onslaught, it was the first Build I covered for the Into The Light updated because I thought it was that good In Legend Onslaught!
Well there might be a new king of Onslaught Builds and I honestly didn't think anything could top the Tether Hunter.
The gameplay your watching is from a random lfg group and I ended up dropping 1304 kills which I'm pretty sure is a personal record for me! One of the guardians even hit me with the WTF Plunder. That's how powerful this build is if you get down a very simple gameplay loop and that will be the main focus here because if you understand this and get it down, you become an unkillable Phoenix with Restoration x2 up all the time and that's without using a healing grenade so we still get to keep our fusion grenade with the touch of flame aspect which you guys know how strong the Solar warlock Fusion Grenades are! We also keep Radiant up for that 25% weapon damage boost, we also stack this with solar weapon surges so now our heavy and primary hit very hard. Then we scale our Scorch damage up from 3 different sources so it ticks for yellow crit numbers between 4k and 8k which turns your primary into a slaying machine when
you don't want to be using your heavy.
To top it all off we can combine this build with 3 Exotics that all accomplish something different depending
on your play style and what you think you and your team needs.
I choose the most offense Option because I just want to watch everything go up flames while slinging Solar
blades across the battle field.

One of things I appreciate about your builds in onslaught is that you show your builds in the higher levels of legend difficulty. A lot of creators only show 1st few levels in legend onslaught.

I generally try to show it in harder stuff, most my other stuff is shown in GMs. But concepts of builds can be explored anywhere really 😁

HA! I understood who you were when you left. I was sure i had seen that name again! I was the Titan that commented on that kill count( For The Puppies). Superb run mate! I am trying out a wish-keeper suspend spam which lacks kill potential but enables your team. And your build absolutely smashed!

@@PlunderthabootyI was the Warlock on that team. I’ve seen some people comment about the kill numbers, but they need to understand context. I started this LFG as a stasis warlock just testing things, but switched to void when I saw what build and play style you were rocking. Niksen3300 here had the crazy suspend, and I took on the weaken with buried bloodline and nade spam with Nothing Manacles. I think we all just realized what was best for the team and leaned into it. Believe it or not, that’s still possible in LFGs lol. And we didn’t even have comms 😂 Great run with both of you!!

@@ItsLAYvan Actually nuts that we both found this vid! I was honestly looking for it because i was expecting this to become a video after this run. As for the run, i did notice that you changed and that made me smile! :D I was considering swapping to solar since you offered great add control but when i realized that you were tweaking items i was damn surprised. I felt that i was the only one swapping stuff in lfg and i dont mean simply boss room items. But overall having 1 person on suspend/freeze , one on void for weaken/volatile and one on a pure damage setup is clearly the easiest way to farm 50 legend. Simply contesting last hits doesnt help a lot. Very well played mate!

God damn this is amazing! I don’t have a good dawn chorus helmet but battle of mantle harmony works great! Able to constantly have my solar weapons have a x4 damage boost when I have my super. Brilliant video man! Much appreciated

But anyways, I've done onslaught on all characters and warlocks and hunters feel like they help the most in it. I've done onslaught with each subclass on titan, solar is the only one that stands out while void and arc are at the bottom when it comes to variety without using precious scars

@demonpresents8095 Run Strand if you have access to it. Artifact perks and a good strand primary, banner of War and Into the Fray, grapple nade and fragments supporting woven mail uptime and ability regen. HoiL for more spam, Prescious Scars or Strongholds(with a sword ofc) for insane survivability. Alternatively go solar with the artifact perks and Sunshot, sol invictus and fragments supporting ignition damage. Lorelai Splendor or build around resto for a safer pick, or go aggro with something like Pyrogale and the fragment that refunds melee energy for defeating scorched combatants (with artifact perks and the right aspects with Sunshot, EVERYTHING is scorched so it's constantly proccing) Good luck Titaning! 😀

On any well build, *Ember of Combustion* is an absolute must. Every kill with a solar weapon out of the Well causes an ignition. That makes any gun with Incandescent but certainly also the Eyes of Tomorrow I would imagine cause insane fire carnage. Especially if you put on other fragments that boost scorch and ignition. Battleharmony is great for this, you get solar boost when you have a loaded Well, but also do insane explosive damage out of the well. Phoenix, well, if you are constantly in a well you do constant ignitions, but you're weaker when not in the well than Battleharmony.

I am amazed it never crossed my mine I was so excited to use the "restoration + radiant refill" idea using the mythoclast and farmed for it, but found the build had trouble sometimes getting started and keeping it up since the mytho at legend difficulty wouldnt kill beefier enemies leading to the buff sometimes dropping Using eyes of tomorrow + the artifact mod is sick af and cant wait to try it out. Ty :)

I run Dawn Chorus too but I use *that* roll for Tyranny of Heaven and I run Strand for the Unravel. The combination of dragonfly, incandescent and Weaver's Trance trivializes groups and generates more orbs than a super.

You should try running void titan with severance enclosure, invis on finisher, and volatile finisher. I am easily able to get 1000+ kills while being permanently invis and getting massive heals from volatile.

Ngl, when this started i was wondering if it was going to be a Wings of Sacred Dawn setup. Also wondering if you tested with Icarus Dash to see if the Cure from airborne kills part of the aspect helped at all. I'm guessing you deemed it not impactful enough and went with Touch of Flame to just improve overall feel of the build when not spamming rockets from the air.

Yeah basically the last part. If I didn't have ammo I like the fusion grenades with my primary on waves with Dawn Chorus. Just made for a nice in between in case my teammates were staying out and I wasn't getting the rocket refund

Great build, I'm loving it. I was tweaking some mods and noticed that Eyes of Tomorrow doesn't actually benefit from the Scavanager Leg Mod if you wanted to add another Surge Mod.

Ghjally or Dragon's Breath. But you will run out of ammo with those at certain points. So make sure you have a strong incandescent weapon to take advantage of Dawn Chorus during the down time. And make sure to slot heavy ammo Finder and do the bonus objectives for heavy 👍

I’ve been using eyes in Coil and Onslaught, and the biggest problem I’m running into is my teammates killing my targets quicker than I can get the shots off, unless they’re yellow bar enemies in which case EoT is just not the right call. Love the build, but just isn’t cutting it for speed and ease of use.

personally i've used eyes a bit and while it has a ton of potential my teammates are just cracked at clearing however, xenophage is an amazing heavy too with incredible ammo economy and solid dps, i love using it on orpheus hunter

I tried eyes when onslaught first came out, but with a titan, my thought was, loads of enemies, unlimited ammo, sadly, in my case as a solo player, it was always a race to the spawn point and your team mates not taking out the enemies you're aiming for, so I quickly scrapped it. Glad to see you've had more success than I did 😂

For legend I went with phoenix and used many diff ways to get super back fast and make orbs and well radiance helped us a ton in boss rooms and tormentors. I do love well but I feel like Orpheus hunter is one of the very best builds for legend. I ran double tether a couple games and it came in clutch however I felt like I’m boss room some1 should have ran a dps super. 2 tether and 1 well is over kill I think someone should run a strong dps super then 1 tether 1 well

One thing to keep in mind about eyes of tomorrow. It can kind of feel like it sucks if your teammates are very good at clearing. I personally cant get any use out of it when playing with my friends. I shoot the rockets and while im waiting for them to reach their target, my friends have already cleared everything.

I been cooking on that Warlock Strand build. I been dropping kills like that on it and it's just stupid. Seen another Warlock build that plays like the 1-2 stand grapple titan build that fits a little less damage than titan build but if built correctly could just go bonkers.

I have tried this build out in Legend Onslaught and got up till the final boss, my teammates had to leave, so I tried to solo but got slammed by a tormentor lightning round. My damage and kills weren’t as good as yours because I haven’t been blessed with eyes yet but it is still a good build nonetheless. Maybe you could make a build for people who haven’t gotten the exotic yet?

Two questions for anyone willing and able to help: 1. What's an alternative heavy for those that dont have EoT? And will the gameplay loop still work with something else? 2. For those that go the Well route, how will Heat Rises and the need for constant aerial kills work when you're spamming wells and need to be grounded to get the effects of these?

1. None because the playstyle revolves around the ammo refund of eyes of tomorrow (you can just get it from pantheon easy) BUT the build wont even work well if you have good teammates because they will kill the ads before the rockets reach and now you cant get ammo back from the 4 kills 2. prob just bad synergy will work but idk man

Another question though: if I get a chance to complete Pantheon, would you say Eyes of Tomorrow is worth grabbing? Or is there something you'd get more use out of that you would choose over it?

Gally or Dragon's Breath. But you lean more into Scorch, Dawn Chorus and your grenade since you won't have infinite heavy 😊

My problem is that I have been trying to use a build with eyes on hunter using RDMs but I actually can’t get enough kills for the ammo refund ever. They tend to be dying too fast to allies.

I think aztercross did a vid on this build and said it wasn't as good as he hoped cause it requires your teamates to be ass in order to carry cause if you have competent teamates they'll kill all the ads before your rockets from eyes of tomorrow can which means you won't have infinite rockets. Similar to assasins cowl arc hunter. Great for soloing content but the moment you have competent teamates your gameplay loop gets destroyed

This may sound dumb, but do you have any tips on optimizing ammo uptime for eyes of tomorrow? It feels like ky teammates end up killing just enough things to where my rockets just miss on killing 4 and i dont get the refund half the time. This build looks fantastic, so I'll definitely give it a shot either way. Great stuff as always, plunder!

I wouldn’t rely on it too much in the early waves as everything is squishy like you say. In the later rounds your teammates will be begging you to use it 😂

Explosive Payload and Incandescent. One Harmonic Loader on the gauntlets gives the great reload speed for primary and heavy

eyes only work in a noob lfg team, i tried it 2 days ago with my friends when playing onslaught, we r actually good players, by the time eys locked in the target, they were already dead, especially before wave 40 😂

I’ve been playing destiny for years and I struggle to follow what you’re saying. Proc, scorch, etc. can you just explain the loop normally? Throw grenade. Then hit dive. Then etc.

This only rivals tether because you don't have well. Especially in the boss rooms, without well, you have to focus adds more (as shown in your gameplay). While the gameplay loop looks fun and powerful, it's not optimal for fast clears. Also, as you are well aware, tether isn't just amazing for add-clear, the "silencing" ability it has so useful. TLDR: This only rivals tether on the condition that you are intentionally farming adds and you don't have hunters and/or hunters on your team are not using tether correctly.
