My definition of success is to just live and enjoy life as much as I can, because moments in life always changes. We as humans tend to focus a lot on what we don't have and when we get it; we still aren't happy because we're focusing on something else we dont have. So success for me is finding joy in my circumstances whatever season I am in life, and when I get a new blessing I will be grateful for it.
Aside to Deandra : yes exactly. In short, we hanker for what we don't have. I call it the "grass is always greener (on the other side)" syndrome. We should live in the "present" and neither in the past or future. Enjoying and being thankful for being fully human and fully alive!
My definition of success is being able to raise my son alone for 12 years, being able to sustain an apartment, bills, give him food and shelter and the opportunity to travel to different places of the world all alone.

I feel like most of us go through the phase of taking on the society's mainstream version of success. - the typical movie about 'making it' in the New York City, cab drives, little sleep, paper coffee cups, being busy... and then usually, along the way, we realise what we need to be happy. in the best case scenario, we realise these things early enough and without paying too high a price.
Success to me is doing GOD's will for your life (and doing it well), ... and at the same time, striving for "peace" in my life, away from the ways of this world. Looking for "calm amidst the storm", in this world, ... and looking forward to that day that we'll share in the glory of the Kingdom of GOD.
Absolutely agree! Seems like the current trend for success is being well travelled, the pressure is high to save up and go on exotic trips or to far away places… but sometimes all I want to do is stay home and make music, i don’t want to undermine travelling, but to me creating something beautiful at home is just as worthy as going out into the world……. I hope people can just stop judging everyone else’s preferences
For me, success is being able to be happy and feel full with life and with yourself. I have never managed to be happy, and I dont think i will, but I never give up on my dreams, no matter how depressing my life is.
I tend to fall into negative self-comparison when seeing the successes of many people especially at my age. But this was such a beautiful reminder that everyone's journey is different. Success for me is , waking up in the morning and doing my yoga practice, taking a bath and doing my facial routine. Cleaning my space before I start my shift and logging off by the end of my shift. Success is when I step outside to get my fresh produce and cooking healthy dinner. Washing the dishes after eating a delicious meal. Taking my night bath and reading few pages of a book. Lastly watering my beautiful plants.💚
For me, success is very different to that that's envisaged by the average person. It's good health. It's having enough money to be comfortable. It's having good friends and relationships. It's having a peaceful ride or walk through the countryside. It's being not stressed out about useless things. It's about not worrying about things you can't change. Once you die, you're never coming back. If you wish to live longer, remove stress from your life, and the things that cause it. See work as a part of your life.....rather than having it run your life.

I’m so glad I found your channel! I always felt alone by having other values and goals than society wants me to have. People never understood why I don’t want to work all day and rather enjoy my life by working a part time job as a young adult. For me success always sounded like „work as much as you can and than you have a lot of money to spend“. I rather have less money and more love. Love is success!
Success to me is owning my time and being unapologetic for who I am. I've seen "rich" people who make tons of money but are glued to their phones and computers every waking second. Other than making lots of money, they have no idea who they are. I'm happy with who I am and allow myself to spend my time the way I want to spend it. My clothes, my haircut, and my time are not dictated by a company or society.

I love how beautifully you tell a story through your words and visuals. ❤️❤️❤️ So true about how many of us reach for “success” as defined by culture/ our families/ according to other people’s standards, but don’t actually take that time to figure out what we value and hence what success looks like for us. It wasn’t until I actually gave myself time and blank space in my busy diary to just “be”, with no agenda, that I started reflecting on this too. I still don’t have a definite answer on what my version of “success” is, but I’m closest I’ve ever been to defining it. Thanks for sharing!

success to me is not what I thought it was, but then again I was measuring it by comparison to others, it was only when I understood how grateful I truely am for what I have, my focus on relationships with others that I love and when I began to look inside for the answers and to quieten the unrest I felt that I see how I have grown to understand what success now feels like to me xx
My definition of success is freedom of choice and movement with minimal barriers. Money helps a lot. I consider myself extremely successful. I dont project my definition on to others and I think success and happiness are two different things. Happiness is like a very temporary feeling from moment to moment. I think people should strive to embody an ongoing satisfaction and contentment. I dont consider that a passive activity.
My definition of success is when you found out your uniqueness far from the other people’s needs, everyone wants to be happy and to live fully but if we notice everyone too are blinded in self worth

Before success for me is having alot of material possessions in life. Having the latest lifestyle like latest house design, cars and gadgets or to visit trending travel spots or to be famous but when I embrace the lifestyle of living less with all material stuff. I've come to realized that success is about peace of mind without worries about thinking how to pay all my bills and maintenance for all the material things on earth. There is end of the life. Thats the real thing. We can not bring all the stuff we have in here. So Im success now without having the latest things but Im happy living with a peace of mind. Thank you for your video.

I was as well that girl living in the city (London), buying cool clothes, traveling to awesome destinations, buying a nice house, just to realise how miserable that was making me! Then I ended all that and started all over again in the Tuscan countryside! Now I finally feel like life is worth living! The only thing missing still is to have my own family and as you said, to have someone to love and who loves me back... I still don’t have that but I keep the hope alive! The definition of success is different to every individual. For some its fame and enormous wealth and for some its satisfaction of mind which may not include wealth. The other type are very few but they are more happy. Ur observation, inference and delivering of version from ur mind is nice.
The truth is the always thought the same about success...it took me a while to understand I was t following this path out of fear of failure, not belonging and many other pity reasons. It's funny how you suddenly start to see the truth. X
My definition of success has certainly changed over the years, for me success is being happy doing what I am passionate about as well as peace of mind.

Success is a feeling and is defined by the individual. I think people have redefined success these days, unlike our parents time when the standard was largely pinned to materialism. We shouldn't fall into that trap as materialism does not satisfy!

I once read from an evolutionary psychology book that says evolution does not care about happiness but prestige. It’s our human nature to chase prestige because social status means survival and more mating opportunities. If we want to be happy, we have to take happiness seriously and consciously prioritise it in our lives, because it’s not the priority of our biology.
I ran from the keeping with Joneses mentality many years ago thank God. I've managed to live a relatively free existence but still had to conform to the 9 to 5 to earn a living before the internet opportunities. Life is hard to define as is success. Nice vid again. Thanks 💜 Aloha

We really need to get in touch with ourselves to figure out how we self actualize...as opposed to following only what marketing and society prescribe for us. They have their place, but not front and center of my mind.

I agree with you! I was liying to myself for so long... I become bitter and angry. I got panic over and overwhelmed. Autentiti and being honest with myself. I still learn how to recognise what I really want and why.
Success to me is living healthily, be very strong in your religion, have a great relationship with your spouse,with both working closely together to raising your kid. Have sufficient money to pay for bills, living in a modest house and car.
