You guys were right as usual. This episode was everything the entire season should've been. It was great seeing Logan's scenes again as young Barry. Khione pooing from under the door like she I Dream of Jeannie was something. It was nice to see Bloodwork's mom(the doctor with the French braid) back in the 2000s.He would have been 20, this past April. Rest In Peace, Logan. And Eddie getting his powers and he must be Flash on another Earth. Great seeing Jesse,Matt, Michelle, and John again. Candice's pregnant belly has me wishing we get Bart and Nora together. After watching this love last night, I couldn't wait for your reaction.

Does she not understand that bad writing means bad story has nothing to do with the actors. Bad writing means bad story, bad plot, and the actors can’t do anything was bad writing. They only can work with what they have if it’s good writing you see what type of episode you can get that she doesn’t understand that.

I just understood something. Barry stealing Thawne's credit. That was never hubris. It was never about being the hero, it was never about stealing credit. It was always about protecting the fixed point of his mother's death. Because Barry knows that him "stealing credit" is what sets Thawne in motion. He never had a choice.

This was honestly a better full circle moment than Barry becoming the lightning bolt. This episode only works because we’ve gradually seen Barry become that future Flash from the end of season 1. The Barry/Thawne scenes were so iconic and maybe the best their rivalry has ever been

This episode is definitely top tier. John Wesley Shipp and Michelle Harrison definitely brought in the emotions with them as Henry and Nora Allen reuniting with Barry for a few moments. Matt brought back his haunting presence as Thawne, Grant with the tears always gets me. Rick Cosnett looks like he's about to eat as a villain. But finally seeing the night of Nora Allen's murder from Barry's prospective and him being the Flash stopping his s1 self and saving his 11 yr old self was phenomenal. Barr finally got his closure. I see Eric Wallace took some material from the 1999 Cobalt-Blue storyline Chain Lightning with the blue flame possessing Barry Allen's loved ones and attempting to destroy the Flash's legacy for Cobalt-Blue's legacy to be the only one standing.

The reason it was so good is that it had that season 1&2 feeling. The story is a bit more grounded and centered around Barry not 10 more useless characters. Make the drama more interesting and grounded so CGI muck is no needed. Let it be personal and not another cheesy villain of the week. Look at what Superman and Lois are doing !!

The discussion part at the end is so REAL and well constructed. I whole heartedly agree with you guys on that. OG Team flash had so many iconic banters and moments. Its unbelievable to think that the show writers sat there, wrote the character story arcs, casted the new characters, wrote the new story for the season and then film it and released it WITHOUT seeing how badly this new change affected the essence of the show that people knew it to be. Not only did they TRY THEIR DAMNEDEST to nerf Barry in ways that feels insulting to the viewers watching it, but they also continue to disregard all the things that people came to love about it. So the later episodes need to be like this episode or THE FLASH is gonna be "The Flash and sidekicks and crossovers and Kionne" the TV series.

I also notice on this episode they changed the way Eobard & Barry meet up at the house. Originally they were fighting through time and the original footage showed both of them coming out of the speed force, down the street into the house.

Technically khione is a goddess and what Caitlin’s father was trying to create in himself and his daughter but instead got a split personality made from dark matter with the ability to wield ice and cold. So in a weird way Caitlin actually finished her father’s work as Khoine and a goddess which actually would make her the second most powerful next to Barry on the team.

@@Mcherri I don't think Khione is a literal god. Frost was just named after the Greek Goddesses Khione due to her ice powers. He wasn't trying to create a God, he was trying to cure Caitlin of ever having HLH in adulthood.

@@jourdonpatron212 yes but he had a picture of the goddess in season 4 the first experiment was sort of a failed not failed attempt at creating a form of a goddess for Caitlin. He got the frost spilt personality instead. Khione so far has shown feats of ice level powers never seen on a level that isn’t dark matter or anything enhancing her she is as natural as they come. Not just feats of ice but also able to talk to plants and have an infinity nature with plants. While she isn’t an actual goddess yet she may very well become one in her future and could potentially bring back Caitlin to share her body again herself who knows. But I am pretty sure khione was what Caitlin’s father was aiming for in his creation to cure Caitlin.

hadn't watched Flash in about two seasons...just saw this episode and with my youngest nephew getting into them them past year (he's 11) makes me want to get back into this great show for the last season...mainly I miss watching y'all reactions to it :)

Eddie was clinically dead for atleast several minutes before being sucked up into the singularity, he absolutely could be S1 Eddie who lost his memory because his brain would've suffered serious damage before being revived by whoever on the other side.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Thawne is the fixed point in my opinion. Just like he said in season 1 they equals one could not defeat the other so eventually he comes to the conclusion that he needs to kill him as a child. As we saw in this episode thawne could have walked away but he was to arrogant and wouldn't listen to barry and it led to him killing nora. I believe that the Barry that was given speed in 2020 is the original barry allen once him and thawne traveled back in time they created the fixed point making it where no matter what timeline thawne will ultimately come to the conclusion that he has to kill barry as a child leading to season one over and over again kinda like savitar time loop

You can add new characters and storylines to any franchise; just don't forget what got you there in the first place. I loved this episode, you’re right. This is what we needed. I agree, I’ve been unhappy with the way the writing has been handled in the past. I remember watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, after season 5 the writing dropped off. I was no longer watching the Buffy I knew. When I read The X-Men and Claremont left. I could tell they had different voices. These were not the X-Men I grew up with. So…I get it. When the tone shifts, the writing changes I can tell the dynamic is different. I’m glad we’re getting back to some of the best story again!

So in the end this is my understanding of how many Barrys were in the house: 1) young Barry 2) Barry from first season finale that intended to save his mom 3) Barry that stops number 2 Barry from saving his mom, who we originally saw in season 1 finale 4) our season 9 Barry that runs in and saves young Barry Where does number 3 Barry come from or is number 3 and number 4 Barry the same Barry?

no. The OG Flash was fighting OG Eobard in the year 2024 WITH Supergirl, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Green Arrow and The Atom. In the fight, Eobard realised who The Flash was and ran away opening the time portal. The Flash followed. The paper states as much "Our very own Scarlet Speedster, as well as the Reverse Flash, vanish in a flash of blue light." In the pilot (and S1 finale) we see OG Flash and Eobard emerge from a portal. They reshot that for this episode WITHOUT the portal. In fact, everything from the pilot on has been a Reverse FlashPoint since in the OG Timeline Nora and Henry would of been alive. When Barry tried to fix it in S2 finale, he created a Flashpoint. When he then begged Eobard, now a Time Remnant, to fix it, they created a Reverse Flashpoint 2.0 with Savitar as a new threat. At this point, they are just giving us fan service in these last few episodes. "The fans want Eddie as Cobalt Blue. The Fans want our Barry to warn S1 Barry to not intervene. The fans want Oliver and Felicity to be separated because the Olicity fans are insane."

The little Barry, The Barry from S1, The Barry from S9, The Barry who stopped Reverse Flash creating Flashpoint and the Barry who asked Eobard to kill his mother to fix the flashpoint, That's what I think.. U can also say the Barry with his daughter Nora too but that timeline got erased.

Honestly it pains me to see how little people understand television. I get the idea behind wanting this for an ENTIRE season but it isn't possible. Besides limitations on the budget there's multiple other things to consider. Storylines need to be wrapped up including storylines of characters themselves. Or characters need to be developed in order to make them worth having around such as Khione. But you can't really do those things if your ENTIRE season is dedicated to a single story revolving around a new enemy for Barry. During those times a lot of characters take a step back in order for the main character to take center stage. Another problematic issue with this show is the success formula they have. People having been going crazy about this episode and the previous episode. But the formula was basic. Throw in some nostalgia and speedsters and you've got yourself a winner.

2 things you need to know eobard thawne did find out in the season 2 episode 11 the reverse flash returns because eobard mentioned he didnt know the flash was from this time and this was his first time in the past so now since he knows he will be back and harrison wells from earth 2 said at the end of the episode he says this si how he knows me, you and the rest of the team is this moment this is his origin story and the 2nd thing is cobalt blue is malcolm thawne this is from the future on the same earth and the lightning that struck him was the negative speed forst cobalt blue is the new avatar and the reason why malcolm doesnt know who eddie is because he probably dont know his ancesters i dont think they will use the lost brother story like the comics please let me know what you think

People need to give the writers a break. They have to make 23 episodes (13 this season) and there is only so much they can do. Every season after 4 should’ve been 13 episodes but that’s not how it works.
