This came from a reel-to-reel tape auction that I won this past December. I could not believe it was even up for grabs nor did i expect such amazing sound quality. Originally aired on ABC-TV on December 31st, 1967. And yes, the ball drop from Times Square is on this audio too with Bill Beutel's commentary! Around 20 minutes in is the start of the midnight portion. A big thank you to whoever recorded this at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York that night, and to those who helped out with the digitization process. :)
