Hearing that Tsui Hark made a Documentary about his experiences in New York's Chinese community makes me think about when I spent a lot of time in Boston's Chinese community throughout the 90s. The big difference is that I'm not Chinese, I'm a white Irish American. I watched very few American movies and rented nothing but Hong Kong movies from a video store that was owned by an immigrant from Hong Kong, who would become a friend. I wish I had the foresight to film my wonderful experiences that I had with my Chinese friends, who graciously accepted me and made me feel welcome. My Chinese friends used to jokingly call me Eggman. White outside and yellow on the inside. Sadly, I also witnessed racial bullying towards Chinese kids, literally kids. Some of the racism came from white people, but not always.

@@ScarecrowVideoSEA Just wanted to say Good Luck 👍 You could always move to the Coast, I did. Cheaper. But probably less foot traffic 😂 I was with you guys at the beginning. Just say something in the recommendations that said "Scarecrow". And unlike Dorothy, I think of you guys 😊 I think one of the first things I got was the 2 disc laserdisc of the Blues Brothers. Because you could freeze frame it, and slow mo the Car Crashes 😂 It's amazing how far you've come. And how long ago it was. And I made a comment on that podcast, I think it's "Disc Connect" ? Anyway. I couldn't remember George's name and felt bad, so I looked it up. And like I wrote there, I don't remember his name being George 😂. Damn I'm getting old. I still have all my stuff from those days. Even my records and discs are still in Peaches Records and Tapes crates !!! THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES 💞
