An improvised song meditation performed by the newfound norwegian choir Artemis on their premiere concert (Uropptreden).
In Artemis, we end each rehearsal with some form of meditation. Singing meditation and -improvisation is an important pillar in Artemis. It's about being able to breathe out in the busy everyday life and just be present in the moment.
During these sessions, questions such as "What do the stars sound like?" and "What animals do we find in the rainforest?" are asked. It's about singing freely and listening to the collective around us to create a beautiful soundscape.
No two improv sessions are the same, but sometimes we go for a vibe of some kind. In this case, we wanted to take the audience out on a night in the rainforest.
