A night out in Wigan, and the reason I have not been doing videos for a while #driving #hgv #hgvdriver #truck #love #truckdriver #trucking #wigan wigan
Great video Barry. Followed you for years and really just like your personality. No interest in driving videos as im not a truckie. The walking videos were good but listening to you have a ramble like today is the best. The video of you raving in the car reminiscing outside Wigan pier was a personal favourite. All the best
Lovely to see you again Barry, it is good to hear that you are doing well and are back on flatbeds delivering hula hoops. I remember going to all nighters at Wigan Pier in the late 70's/early 80's for the Northern Soul nights. Me and my mates would hire a coach from Bromsgrove (Worcestershire) to take us up to Wigan - those were the days. Keep driving safely, mirrors, mirrors and mirrors.
Now then, that could be such a nice place, but all town centres are dieing it's just way life has gone, great videos even though your not doing driving videos, your,Thank you,you cheer me up with your chatting 👍
Hey Barry glad to see you still doing your thing . I remember when you had your little online radio show live from your flat in Penrith. There was a hard core following, glad you’re ok .
Absolutely beltin to see your doing well ... your right about wigan pier it's a right mess , The 2 boats you seen run evey weekend, Kittywake cruises do public trips aswell , cracking family owned business, been on a few trips as I brew there own branded ale for them ... Anyway take it easy and keep on trucking 🚚

Good to see the big face is doing alright, Certainly miss the truck driving vlogs but as you say if you are enjoying things as they are then why bother, all the best and keep keeping on 👍
Barry. Welcome back 👍🏻 You’ve got to have thick skin to be on social media 🙄 But you handle well Barry. Nice walk round Wigan 🤣 My grandparents always took my to shopping in the 70 on the train from Lowton-St-Mary’s 😊 You always talk sense and make me laugh🤣 Take care post a video when you’re ready Borathea 🤩
Borathea, good to see you're doing well sir!.. Hater's will always hate. You do what's best for you and yours. Have enjoyed your vlog's... Love the Lancashire accent/humour (my dad came from Royton, Oldham). All the best, Squire !!
Hello mate, just passed my test there last week and ‘mirrors mirrors, mindful has been etched in my brain,it’s good advice👍I actually seem to be on a similar trajectory to yourself,I’m hoping to get on bulk transport, and I’ve come from donkey work😂all the best!
I use to be proud of being from Wigan. And I still am to an extent but it is safe to say it is on it's arse. The government / local MP's simply do not care.
How on earth can u ever give someone grief because they can't do videos anymore 😂. I always think, do what makes you happy whether it's online or offline
@@ChattingWithMeHGV im at Jenkies, and I think its a great company to work for, they've given me a chance in March after only just passing in Dec 23, now I'm on permanent nights, like yourself im cutting my teeth with Jenkinsons
@Malster70 Aye fair play to you. It really is a good company to work for. I LOVED working there, but all I knew at the time since passing my test was walking floors and Jenkies. So like I say, after 4 years with them I needed to try something different. I would have gone back in a heart beat last year, and no doubt stayed with them for the next 20 years until I retire, ( fingers crossed I'm still alive then ) but I feel like they let me humiliate my self by going back cap in hand for my job back, ( on a couple of occasions ), only to be turned away with my tail between my legs. So as much as I loved the job, on general principle now I won't go back to them. I will always be grateful tho for the great 4 years experience I got from them whilst cutting my teeth !.
@@ChattingWithMeHGV And I get that Barry, I really do, change is good, but not always the best decision, I've always said Never change a good combination" I've found in life, but like I say im a new pass at the age of 53, I've done a bit with Stobarts and Bishopgate before, but coming to Jenkinsons has given me that security and hopefully leading me to my retirement, I like the walking floor work, I go upto Lockerbie from Manchester back to Runcorn every night, and yes its repetitive, but there's no drama, I would like a change, of shift at times, but it is what it is, i can't have it all my way
well look who's back haha nice to see you again and ya alot of places when it comes to jobs like you said don't have me out on Friday nights other then that i will go to the moon and back no problem but what do they do keep you out on 6 Friday nights out of the 9 weeks which of course is a complete mick take, like a company over here in Ireland one driver was telling me that lot of their mangers and planners etc etc have all done their time on the tar mack and know what its like some don't have a clue its like well here are my boots their's my hi vis you try it and see it aint easy mentally and physical and also not being a dick Happy wife happy life. and ya also miss watching Martin aka Trucker Jenko but companies who don't want to be filmed ya no bother kid i promise i wont film i wont vlog etc others let you vlog for lets say 6 months and then tell you no more filming at all its like what they heck that came out from left field and thats why martin left a few companies but when you find the job right for you like not having to spend every friday night out tramping or like martin having to do 2 weeks on in europe and then two weeks local (uk work) then it really is a no brainer when you get the hand that you want and being you come first weather its time off for family matters or saying will do any days but i really want to have friday and saturday nights off then if it means no vlogging then thats what it is but some people are just too selfish to understand and dont think about it and there is no point explaining to them i mean like i was doing two nights a week in a hotel as a night porter i dont have a gf or kids etc and asked for more nights and they said cant do that cause that belongs to the higher powers to decide that and was there for about 6 maybe 7 months so when they give me the chop you could of light a cigerette on the fire coming off my shoes i mean more work more money even more so when i was early 20s single etc but hay you pay the extra for the guy who is willing to work and will do a proper job but some companies dont want that
