If someone would have told me years ago there was coming a day in the distant future when I could sit inside of my home watching a video from my phone of someone on the opposite side of the world from me strolling the streets of Mea Shearim, I would have thought they were crazy! Madison and Fifth Avenues run parallel to each other in Manhattan. Writing as a native New Yorker -- given this is a major intersection without a park, and an Ultra-Orthodox neighborhood -- I'd say @7:30 is analogous to the intersection of Flatbush and Atlantic Avenues in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (another Orthodox neighborhood). Came here from your masterful explication of the Temple Mount on Oren's channel. Subscribed.

I have never been to Israel, but would certainly enjoy visiting. I am from Calif. I have been watching your videos, and the JESUS videos are so interesting. I have been a Christian for many years, but never knew of Jerusalem as being such a big city. GOD bless you!!!

One of the most interesting things about this video is how, almost no one is looking at you filming them. I am assuming you have your smart phone on a stabiliser (like DJI) and that you are just holding it by your chest? But no one is looking at you?

Hi Danny. I met you on a tour where you were the guide. We visited Hebron and it was at the time when the compound is only open to Jewish people. Remember you said it was the first time you could visit the Muslim side of the compound, and that you had to do some smooth talking to get the guards to allow a busload is non Jews in😀. Thanks for effort you are putting into the uploads, much appreciated.

even if theyre crowded, israel needs more cities like this, bnei brak, florentine, and tel aviv. ones with stores beneath the houses and people walking on the streets happy and sociable

Thank you so much for the tour. Maybe you could add some descriptions of the food that you are showing us. It would be a longer film, but I do not want you to cut the time of the tour. You are showing me parts of the world that I have not seen. Shalom. Also, I do not think the Torah mentions any need for a male head covering. I would guess its all tradition.

Hi Michael. I am not sure I know all the named of the pastries my self, byt they sure look good. And the dress code of the Ultra Orthodox is only remotly related to any of the biblical commands.. including the head cover, the beard, Bar-Mitzvah, and many more..

It says a lot about who lives there. If they think that they are special than the others living in the land and if they know that Jerusalem is the holly city how come they dare throwing garbage on the ground? Just wondering! How widely is Yiddish still spoken in Meah Shearim? Since so many Haredim had their origins in eastern Europe, I'm assuming that Yiddish is the language they would have brought with them more than Hebrew. OTOH, Hebrew being the language of modern Israel, they might find it desirable to assimilate.

They all speak Hebrew but cling to Yiddish as well..

I would have liked to know the name of the streets you walk down, and the stores you went into so that next time I make it to Israel I could spend my money there and help support the Israeli economy without going to tourist traps. I have been to Israel many times, about 15, and my mother lives in Jerusalem, bur I have not been to mea sharim in over 30 years.

Looking at the store names, I'd assume he started on Malkei Yisrael St., near Amos St., walking east until it becomes Mea Shearim St.. Hope that helps.

Orthodox outfits are hilarious. Sorry but they never really updated them since abe lincoln times did they. They look ridiculous. I guess theyre better than the Muslim sheets from 5000 years ago though. Why does a uniform equate with piety. So silly.
