Omg! Freddy is NOT jacobs father lmao. She was preggers before Freddy came back. That’s not a thing in this series😂. But anyway, this one was one of my favs growing up. Alice was way more vulnerable because she got the boyfriend she wanted, lost the love of her life, and had to make sure Freddy didn’t take her baby as well! I appreciated that side of it. Now the next one, Freddy’s dead, is complete cheeks! It’s even more random than this. The one after that, New Nightmare, Nancy comes back! That’s not a spoiler because she’s literally on the movie poster and the main character😂 it’s a known thing! But I Obviously I won’t spoil how but I honestly feel like that will be yalls favorite of this series! Please get to that one already! Lol. Enjoyed the reaction!
This was an odd one, filmmaker would go onto make Predator2, Nightmare 5 Dream Child was kinda where the series started to run out of steam as it was the end of the eighties and slashes were loosing popularity.
I thought the scene where Freddy was coming out Alice would get Dallas 😅😅 with “Freddy is gross. He is nasty. He cannot touch me!” 🤣🤣 PS - Happy late Birthday 🥳 🎂 🎊 Donna and Dallas!
Part 4 was my absolute favorite so when this one came out and Alice wasn’t doing any fighting or anything, I was mad! I’ve come to appreciate it more now that I’m older, but I do agree there are major holes in the plot. I commented before that the studio was more concerned about getting these movies out rather than making the story cohesive from one part to the next. Freddy’s Dead is going to be a struggle, but I can’t wait until you all get to Wes Craven’s New Nightmare! It’s gonna be wild!
We’re getting closer to Wes Craven’s New Nightmare! lol. IMO, y’all can really skip part 6 (Freddy’s Dead), but I know y’all won’t. To me, it’s up there with Jason Goes to Hell. Very underwhelming. Happy Birthday to everyone, and I hope ya are doing great! 💃🏽🎉💕
@@SomethingCinema And I agree if you guys are going to do an entire series of anything you shouldn't skip it but if you were going to skip it you could have skipped part 2. That one was scary but it was detached from the rest of the series.
Hey Cinema fam, glad you got a chance to review Nightmare 5. I think it has some strengths to it, for example the elaborate dream sequences and the expansion of the Freddy/Amanda lore. I really wish they retained Alice's fighting skills, but I guess the director wanted to go in a new direction. Don't you hate it in these movies when the side characters say, "IF Freddy wants to get to you, he'll have to go through us first..." Like bitch he will he's supernatural and literally demonic.
So awesome to see you three thriving with subscribers. Good job 👏 👍 👌 🙌 . I wanna see more reactions. I wanna see as much as I can before I go back to school. I'm doing nursing and I've been told life changes. My eyes will be on books and notes. I hope I can slip a few views while in school. Anyways I'm happy for you three.
The movie wasn’t the best but hey at least the deaths were creative. I still loved ur guys reaction and yes I say ‘ at the time at this recording’ with u guys it has a ring to it and I love it
Alice WAS a daydreamer. The 4th one established that she daydreams because she had a low self esteem and no self confidence. When Kristen (who could control the power) gives her power to Alice (who can’t control the power), she allowed for Freddy to be able to kill kids who were NOT the children of the parent her burned him alive (Kristen was the last one). When she falls asleep/day dreams, anyone of her friends who are also asleep, get pulled into her Nightmares with Freddy…that’s the only way he’s allowed to go after them. When her friends die, Freddy takes a part of their soul, she also took apart of them…because it was her uncontrollable power to pull them into the dreams, that was responsible for their deaths. When she killed him in part 4, she and Freddy released their souls. In Part 5, she still has the ability to pull people into her dreams, but she has control of it. She no longer is a day dreamer. Once the baby is conceived, Freddy uses him to come back. Because the embryo spends most of his development sleeping, the baby dreams. Anyone of Alice’s friends who are asleep while the baby is asleep gets pulled into the dream…Alice Included. Which is why many of her scenes appear like she’s day dreaming.
This movie only takes place, supposedly, about 6 months after the previous.... they said it was the first attempt at a direct sequel... So yeah it makes no sense why Alice's friends would have no knowledge of Alice's previous friends' deaths. In the audio book there is a little something mentioned about it, Alice asks Mark, "Didn't Dan ever tell you how all my friends died?" to which Mark replies, "Dan would never talk about that" So it's very vague.... And where were Dan, Greta and Yvonne in part 4? Alice acts as if she's been best friends with them her entire life
I have a soft spot for this one, doesn't get much love from fans but I'd honestly say part 6 Freddy's Dead is the worst one. Wes Craven's New Nightmare is a definite must watch for me.
@@SomethingCinema hi, are y’all planning on watching the Freddy and Jason movies in order? Cause after New Nightmare (the 7th Freddy film) there’s still 3 more Jason movies after his 7th (Jason takes Manhattan, Final Friday and Jason X) before Freddy vs Jason. I hope y’all do cause one of them has *maybe a minor spoiler* a nod to their upcoming fight so it’s good to watch them “in order” if I’m making sense lol
@@SomethingCinema I know y’all have been watching in order but I’m just saying don’t watch Freddy vs Jason after New Nightmare, watch Jason’s movies first until it’s time for FvJ 😄
As I was doing the timeline (including the diaries of Mark and Nancy, video games, books, comics, the TV series and movies) I found out that they had to change the name due to the incident that occurred of his birth. She had killed herself after the trial of her son when they found him not guilty in the tower. At this point she was close to being in her 70s
@@SomethingCinema if you pay close attention when they showed some of the close-ups you would recognize the tower (now abandon) is same tower that Phillip was killed off of in part 3... Well it's supposed to be
@@SomethingCinema disclaimer I'm do say supposed to be because you know the continuity of the designs (no matter if it's the church or Freddy's makeup) has always been a little bit off
Y'all might not like part 6 but you guys might enjoy New Nightmare after that it's Freddy vs. Jason but Jason has like 5 more movies before Freddy vs. Jason.
You realize that teleportation would kHill you, right? Nobody gets disintegrated and doesn't die. Most gHunshots that only damage part of the brain kHill people. You would only be the same person to other people. At most a clone with your memories would be living in your place in what was your body.
As I said, this series started going downhill after the third one. Almost all the main characters in the sequels are bad at saving lives. And ironic enough, Freddy is sometimes the best part.
You probably noticed a few things in your comment section. That being people saying things like this movie was a mess skip this one skip that one. This movie franchise goes downhill but people have never left. Comments like that for other movie franchises you have watched. Like for example Halloween a lot of things in that movie franchise makes no sense. But no one leaves comments like this movie goes downhill and makes no sense. Skip this or that Halloween movie they what you to watch them all. Same thing with Friday the 13th and the Child's Play movies. Onces again they go they want you to watch them all. But when comes to a Nightmare on Elm Street O look there suddenly criticism. About the movies an people want you to skip some of them. Other then me as far as I know I may be the only one pointing out what makes no sense in any and all movies. You probably have noticed that the Halloween movie franchise it's way worse than this one. Because of multiple retcons and multiple timelines. But oddly enough no one has said to skip any particular Halloween movie. You are seeing people say skip this nightmare on Elm Street movie skip that one. But no one has said to you to skip any particular Halloween movie other than the Halloween 3. Because it does not have Michael Myers in it because it was never intended to. Be a part of that movie movie franchise but the movie studio forced them to call it that that's nother story. But they have no problem with any of the constant retcons an multiple timelines witch makeup the Halloween movie franchise. Those are perfectly acceptable to people but when it comes to The Nightmare on Elm Street movie franchise. People have no problem criticizing it. When Halloween has gone on two double-digit movies Michael Myers constantly somehow never dying for some logical reason. But A Nightmare on Elm Street which consists of eight original movies I believe. And does something somewhat different in every movie it gets more hate than the Halloween movie franchise. Even though the Halloween movie franchise is basicaly the same see Michael Myers kill people on Halloween. People what you to watch them all not one negative thing about that movie franchise saying skip this one or that. But when it comes to a Nightmare on Elm Street you see a different kind of comments now all of a sudden. When it would actually be harder to kill Freddy Krueger since he is technically now a dream demon. So it it's obviously way hard her to get rid of a demon. But Michael Myers should be permanently dead I mean has been blown up and he's probably swiss cheese with as many times as he's been shoot. But people are fine with Michael Myers constantly coming back. But they have a problem when Freddy Krueger does it when he is introduced as a dream type demon. Now you can fully see and probably understand. Why I only point out the flaws in every single movie. Because now you are seeing people criticize this movie franchise but not others. Some saying to skip some altogether but they never said that about another movie franchise you have watched and or watching. So I feel obligated to point out the flaws in every single movie because by now I think it obvious other people will not. About that question about powers my answer move things with your mind. Because it's a lot safer than teleporting I seen enough movies to know telephoning is not hundred percent safe. Because when you teleport you have to know exactly where you're teleporting. And better hope it's an open clear area nothing exactly where you're going to be reappearing. Let's just say I seen movies with people had objects fused inside of them. Because it was exactly where they were reappearing. People have been fused into walls so teleporting is a lot trickier than it sounds.
@@SomethingCinema But to be fair my choice may have been slightly more directed. Because I seen too many times whare teleporting has gone wrong. I mean you see people having fun playing teleport tag. Then someone ends up impaling themself on a metal fence pole. Because they were not thinking clearly of whare they whore teleporting. I mean it may make you think twice about that power.
@@SomethingCinema I don’t know if u seen when a stranger calls the original. To me the opening of it was the best opening imo. I believe at one time the opening was considered the best ever at one point. The rest of the movie was not even close to being good but at least the opening struck fear because of it being potentially real as a scenario that could happen.
@@SomethingCinema 👍👍👍 If we were in Halloween movies (Rob Zombie version to David Gordon Green version) being stalked and chased by Michael myers aka The Shape and heard the theme song from dead by daylight and Rob Zombie Halloween theme and what would our reaction and what are the horror movie rules that we cannot break??
Unfortunately, Freddy's Dead is canon to freddy vs jason. It doesn't follow up from Freddy's Dead, but it's pretty explicit with nightmares 1-6 having happened, for reasons better left discussed when they get to Freddy vs Jason
so what you guys think so now you guys have nightmare on elm street 6 freddys dead then freddy v jason and the Nightmare on elm street remake in 2010 totally different director and a new actor playing freddy I did not like it but you guys can check it out thanks guys for getting my interest to watch these again yall to funny
Yeah, the series just took a dive into mediocre territory here. I’m still looking forward to y’all watching New Nightmare. Director Wes Craven makes a comeback with that before he got to Scream. 👌🏽
This was a horrible ass movie next to 6 because I thought both gonna beat the first and third film but I was wrong the storylines to both films was a flop to me
