Hello just came upon your channel. Sorry for you going through so much pain. I ve had fibromyalgia, arthritis, chronic fatigue for 32 yrs. after doing just about everthing I found info on Keto diet and vegan diets. how it tones down your inflammation. It has helped. Prescriptions pills made me worse and some almost killed me. I also use vitamins and hemp oil. And Crofit cold therapy helps a lot.

@Estelle Cadiz I'm still undiagnosed right now as my doctors are very slow and pretty useless haha. Basically if you struggle with ongoing fatigue for 3-6 months or longer you could be suffering with CFS. They then do lots of blood tests and tests to make sure it isn't anything else like vitamin deficiency or hormones. With depression although that does make you tired it also has other red flags such as gaining a lot of weight in a short period of time, or the opposite. It is also a personal thing and you know within yourself if you're struggling with depression. I have struggled with depression in the past and still struggle with anxiety but I feel the difference is I DO want to get out of bed & take on the world. I feel hopeful about the future and look forward to my life. I get upset when my body holds me back when I compare what I can achieve now with what I could a few years ago. I feel with depression it's much more of a mental battle and there is an element of not wanting to see the day because it seems far to overwhelming. Hope that helps though that is just my opinion and experience so far. xx

@@Cs-ry3fx Your fatigue sounds a bit like mine. I was never diagnosed, but it all began in 2011 when I noticed I was always soooo exhausted. Didn’t matter how much or little I slept, I felt like I needed more sleep. And my limbs were always so heavy, I’d wake up feeling like I’d just finished a full body weight lifting workout. It got worse in 2015. BUT, in 2018, I had to prepare for a show that required 6 weeks of full-day daily dance rehearsals. I’d start the day with a glass of lemon water, then go to rehearsals all day. I also started having lunch and dinner the same time every day, AND for the first time in a long time I was sitting in the sun EVERY SINGLE DAY. After the show, I realized my fatigue was gone. Til this day, I don’t experience chronic fatigue. Cure, cleaner meals, regular mealtime, physical activity, and sunlight. Hope this helps. APTTMH 🙌🏽

@@cbrooke16 that’s amazing , thank you for sharing your story and very glad you are better. This stuff is awful. Yes the sun does help. unfortunately I’ve had 2 major car accidents (neither my fault) and TBI’s to my head . I have Been to every kind of doctor, specialist. Finally was diagnosed with fibromyalgia , disability. I also have epstein barr virus. my muscles hurt everday, but living life each day at a time is good therapy :)

Thanks for sharing your struggles.I dealt with chronic fatigue /fibro after my second child was born. Dr said that this was so common for women not looking after themselves. So i decided to turn my health around as i did not want to deal with meds. I cut out all white stuff, potatoes, pasta, flour, sugar, fake food etc. I detoxed my liver with milk thistle and added a probiotic and good quality protein powder and better food choice.I reversed it in two weeks. I am a Brit in the US and was never keen on the type of food and enormous portion sizes offered here so i kept reminding myself to cook fresh like mum back home did. Also make sure you are getting enough Vit D as a deficiency can make you sore/achy and feeling down. I do struggle with insomnia but God willing i hope that will get better. Recently i have been looking into autoimmune paleo diet especially for my daughter for her thyroid, celiac and type 1 diabetes. Apparently Paleo and the Aip version especially is great for many health conditions, since certain food items are being removed (usually for a short timeframe then reintroduced) that can impair proper absorption of food like grains, dairy, nuts, seeds etc. I pray you feel better.

I struggle with fibromyalgia, as well, and it has really helped me to change my diet. I don’t try to be perfect, but by significantly reducing refined carbs and sugar and adding more healthy fats (like nuts, avocado, etc.) and more veggies, my pain is improved. Like I said, I’m not super strict about it. I still have my favorite lemon scones with jam once a week with a friend as a treat, for example, but I try to get rid of most of the bread, pasta, processed snacks. I hate to say it, but it is the only thing that has really helped me. Sad (because I love bread) but true 😊 But of course different things work for each person. This just happens to help me. Along with the hot water bottle;)

Hi Kay, I am sorry for your suffering. I was diagnosed with fibryo and chronic fatigue as well as arthritis at age 40. I am now 63. I ran a family farm and drive 60 miles a day to school where I worked for 32 years.there were days I literally threw up I was so worn out. Up at 4:50 each morning. I decided to retire this year So grateful! What helps me is golden milk I don't use real milk but vanilla non dairy add 1 tb of ground cinnamon 1 tb of ground turmeric and 1 top of black pepper. Can add honey. Warm it and drink It's earthy and comforting. The turmeric won't do its anti inflammatory Jon without the pepper to help observe it. Be well! Xo
@nellee3154
@nellee3154 3 года назад
First thing in the morning try a drink of warm water with turmeric (as much turmeric as you can take), ginger, cinnamon, black pepper , half a lemon juiced and honey. Great for pain and inflammation. In the afternoon drink a pint of water with a tablespoon (perhaps start off with a teaspoon) of Bicarbonate soda. Grow veggies....your favourite ones. Every veg can be grown in a container. I have grown cauli's in 10" flower buckets. You will be hooked as soon as your first seed pops it's head through the soil. 🌻🌻🌻

I don't know about others but I find the biggest problem is doing too much on a good day. It absolutely knocks me down for the best part of a week afterwards. Taking time to rest is so important. Have you ever tried an acupressure mat, I love mine for helping release tension. It's definitely best to plant out in the garden when it looks like rain afterwards, it saves a lot of time not having to water everything in.

Love your video. You are honest about your struggles with fibromyalgia and fatigue. I suffered many years from about childhood, they didn't know what it was, until about 2000. What they do know is that diet plays a huge part in fibro and MS. I have been gluten free for 30yrs and dairy free also. When the kids were young it hurt to have them hug me. That is how bad it was. When I went gluten free in about a month all of the pain was gone and continues to be gone because of being gluten free. It wasn't easy back years ago like it is now. I hope you find relief in your journey to help yourself.

Yesterday I came across your channel and subscribed, so far I love it! Many years ago, I had Chronic Fatigue with all the symptoms you mentioned. At the time I was working for a printing company and had to deal with chemicals. I did the rounds of doctors, tests etc but never had full diagnosis as there wasn't a test for CFS then. Eventually I came right and regained good health. These days I have an auto-immune type of dermatitis but my sweet tooth doesn't help! BTW clematis don't like sun shining on their feet/base, I put bricks or small plant at the base. I see you lived awhile in Queenstown, gorgeous but expensive! Look forward to seeing more of your videos. Greetings from Christchurch 🇳🇿🌼🐈

Thanks Kay, I understand how you feel thanks for sharing what helps you, I think I’ll look into getting a suction cup. I think today is going to be a rest day for me thank you for the reminder. A few things that have helped me are cutting out sugar, caffeine and gluten and having regular massages, meditation and recently focusing on breathing correctly, a book I’m reading just now that you may find helpful is called Breathe by James Nestor. Your garden looks lovely, I don’t know if you know this already but Geraniums don’t like the cold weather I have some and I bring them indoors in winter. I have in the past but I am just not in the right head space to be able to stick to a diet like that at this moment in my life. While I do think diet is a huge part of it I also feel it in waves so I don't believe it's directly related, though each person is different. I'm working with my doctor to find ways to help, with fibromyalgia from the research i've done there is a psychological component to it which links with anxiety etc so i'm hoping that therapy helps in the future. Currently on a waiting list, thank you for your kind words x

Another lovely peaceful video! Just a tip, gently loosening the roots of potted plants before planting helps them get a better start. Also, when planting containers, for maximum beauty you can do the thriller (something tall), spiller (something that hangs down, like an ivy, and filler (annuals, for example) method. I love the music you use with your videos, too! Enjoyed the talk on pain and chronic fatigue. I’ve dealt with that for twenty years. Have a blessed day!!🌸

Beautiful garden. I know a lot of people are giving you health advice and trying to diagnose you, I guess I’ll ring in, too. Have you seen anyone about your thyroid? The lower area of your neck looks a little swollen where your thyroid is. I had a swollen thyroid which turned out to be goiters. I had an operation and I’m now on thyroid meds. I had a lot of your symptoms especially the fatigue. Just something to check into. I love your channel. Just stumbled upon it recently. I garden, too. I live in the subtropics, so I’m learning to garden with heat tolerant plants and trying to grow a vegetable garden, too. sorry if I have mentioned this before but my fibro/cfs were all down to a b12 deficiency so it doesn't. matter how much meat eggs dairy ect I eat my body does not absorb it..so the life long treatment is replacement therapy injections...if you haven't been tested I highly advice asking. with optimal treatment the pain went away and the fatigue got so much better. I only really struggle at stressful times or if I over do it. alot of people who have fibro/cfs have nutritional deficiencies that cannot be corrected by taking a multi. for painful flares I suggest a magnesium spray. also taking magnesium malate is great for energy. people fibro are advised to take this as it's energising. magnesium is also great for muscle pain and tension hence why so many people use Epsom salt soaks.

What we perceive to be a "slow" day or a "productive, busy" day is very subjective and somewhat arbitrary. My slow day could be someone else's busy one or vice versa. I used to feel it necessary to climb mountains of work and slay dragons (resolve biggest issues) to feel good about my day and myself. Now, my mantra is small, slow, steady. Ironically, with this approach, there are less mountains to be climbed and dragons to slay!

I had chronic issues and I know organically finding resources for ourselves is better than someone pushing so I never want to come across that way.. but I know the day to day struggle and so I wanted to share in case this can help anyone. Doctors and treatments could never help me like learning about the mind/body connection and how repression and traumas can lead to chronic pain and ailments. If this helps anyone ... the work I’ve followed is that of Nicole Sachs. It’s based on brain science same as the curable app. She has a free podcast called “the cure for chronic pain”. Hope this can help someone struggling. I barely had an hour a day free of pain for years on end. Now I am free of chronic pain and take no meds. There is hope!

Thank you for sharing. I found that eliminating wheat from my diet helped reduce my fibromyalgia pain. Also using magnesium oil for muscle pain.

I have CFS too, and actually grew some of those plants you ended up buying from Morrison’s (I’m a Grower Supervisor at the Wholesale Nursery that supplies them) - that’s a Pelargonium not a Geranium, by the way - I know, everyone calls them Geraniums but Geraniums are actually very different - don’t buy any more, it’s the easiest thing in the world to take successful cuttings from them, and the plant you said was unmarked has ‘Osteospernum’ written right over the pot x oh, and unless that was just editing, water them in more than that the first time in the pot - give them as much as you think they need, then a bit more.

Hi Kay - Lovely video as always.😊 Echo is delightful as always. Thanks for sharing your health situation and tips that help you. I’m currently going through a similar diagnosis process myself. I haven’t been able to secure my Specialist appts until August (I’m in Australia, so it nay be a different process to the UK), and then formal diagnosis and a treatment plan should be able to happen, as I have had numerous tests to rule out many other conditions. Everyone’s situation / symptoms / triggers are different, but I have found that having Omega 3 capsules has helped to reduce some of the inflammation markers in my blood tests. Evening Primrose Oil capsules have also been of help to me. (Evening Primrose Oil is not suitable for all people, so is worth researching a little first). Best of luck with managing your health issues. Take care xxxx

I have to take painkillers for my feet. I have flat feet and in my job ( on feet all the time) I end up not being able to get up and down my stairs. However I have a new manager and he has helped me a fair bit by taking me off certain shops where it means a lot more walking. I don’t like taking pain killers really but the dr says I will have to as they won’t operate on my feet until it’s really bad and I’m older and less mobile x but I’m on holiday this week and having a breaking from painkillers except this weekend side effects from covid vaccination xx be well and keep safe xx

Oh bless you. I'm so happy that you were able to speak to your manager and come to a compromise, they really are there to work with you so that's brilliant that the changed help you. I'm with you on that one, but sometimes you feel there is no choice. You just have to take each day at a time. 💗 Sending you a big hug xxxx

Hi Kay! Even when you were in the garden I thought I could see exhaustion taking over, I hope you were well🤗🙏🏽. I am not sure if I asked already, but do you have a video explaining the CFS journey? Years ago I mentioned this to our family doctor but she, like my family don’t see to believe it’s a real thing and that I am simply trying to be lazy. Is there actual test that can be done? How did your doctor explain what is happening within that causes the symptoms? Sorry for all the questions. I often have to do the same in the bath, mainly because it’s so cold in the house within five mins the water is cold again 😂! Many blessings and please take care of you🤗

I struggle to understand fibromyalgia. A relative of mine has it..always telling me how debilitating it is...the pain/fatigue etc. Then I hear things like she’s booked holidays abroad which she’s excited about going on...It’s really puzzling how she could even think of travelling never mind actually going 🤷‍♀️

Everyone has their own battles and experience it differently but people tend to have flare ups that can last a few days or sometimes a few months. When I’m in a flare up my life grinds to a halt and I spend most of my day in the bath or in bed with wheat bags on my feet and back feeling miserable. It ruins people’s lives and things you could once do you really struggle to do now and that in itself is a mental battle every day plus the stigma around it and how misunderstood with it being an invisible illness and sometimes coming in waves. You have to live too though so it’s really good that she’s able to go on holiday and I’m sure the sunshine helps ☀️

@@Livingthelifeyoulove Hi..yes I think the family would have more of an understanding but for the holidays she seems to have no trouble going on.
