I absolutely love your Brattle hauls (and all the rest of course but these particularly). However (emphasised) I am a ‘sprite’ 80+ surrounded by hundreds of lovingly collected, unread books. In every book haul there are books that are must buys. I wish you many, many more enjoyable Brattle visits and hauls.
I'm finding slighty damp microfiber clothes to be more effective at cleaning most books than paper towels. Some are also very good at removing sticker goo.
There is indeed a brand new Penguin Classic of The Anatomy of Melancholy! As far as I know, it’s only available in the UK at the moment. I ordered one through Abebooks last year.

I try to judge writers only on their writing, but it’s more difficult with Mr. Hyman because I think he wasn’t all that kind to his wife, Shirley Jackson, whose output of novels, short stories and humorous essays went a long way to making his own writing life more comfortable. Perhaps I’ve been misinformed.
