Insanely beautiful falls! And the color of that water 😍 Definitely adding this to my Thailand bucket list. I love that you didn't edit out yourself running back to the camera...so relatable! We were laughing so hard at the Thai "rafting". My husband is Thai and even he thought that was nuts haha
I was at Erawan waterfall in January and like you I loved them. I agree with everything you said about them. My girlfriend and I stayed at a hotel on the river but we didn't get to go rafting. Chose the wrong hotel I guess. But the same day we went to the falls we also went to the Pho Phat caves nearby - another long climb. But in their way better even than the falls. Bu the way I'm 70 so I endorse what you say about the climb up the falls but I have to say two such climbs on the same day were a bit knackering. Keep up the good work. I find your videos remind me of where I would rather be than back here in a cold wet windy UK. Looking forward to the next one.
Had a similar experience in Costa Rica! Was white water rafting and we came to a calm spot in the river and the guides told everyone to jump in. Mind you, Costa Rica has crocodiles/caimans in their rivers. Super skeptical at first but wound up being one of my best memories of Costa Rica! But I totally understand why you didn't jump in lol
OMG, what a blast that day looked like. Thanks for show me something in Thailand I have never seen before. I will be visiting that for sure and thanks for putting a smile on my face living vicariously thru you.
Erawan Waterfall looked absolutely stunning......Nature at it's best❣I'm with you Paddy, jumping into the river looked very dodgy, never know what's under the water😳😆
I love how you show the part with going for your camera while getting up the levels 😂 I can totally relate to that when filming my runs, you do have to work twice 🤦♀️ also, pretty cheering to watch this positive 'summery' vid at 5am in 0 degrees 😳😂
Paddy thank you for the wonderful video. I (Shafeen) was pretty depressed about all that’s going on in Ukraine but seeing your videos and smile uplifted my spirit and my day. Good bless 💛
You did the right thing for not jumping in. the tide is very strong And there is still an invisible vortex beneath the surface. There are always people who have accidents. But anyway, it's still beautiful and fun. Great VDO bro. 👏🏻👏🏻
Absolutely beautiful 🤩 truly amazing. Thank you for sharing with us such a beautiful part of Thailand 🇹🇭. I understand about not jumping I probably wouldn’t either but I’ll definitely be visiting Love your work mate .
Love Erawan falls. What a great place. Great swimming spot. You are just working to hard Paddy. I jump into white water quit often with just my life jacket, lots of fun.
Thumbs up for your great work. Your vlog could directly and indirectly promote many attractions in Thailand. TAT should give you a title for Thailand's tourisim ambassador. Keep up your good work. - Your Thai FC.
Hiya Paddy, Love this. All the work that goes into filming. Good workout day. Beautiful place. Informative. Great advice. That the thing as you get older, I am the same. Always think this could hurt. Nice video. Thank you for sharing. Have a great week.
I've been to kanchanaburi.. waterfall, river floating house cruising along the river overnight... absolutely unforgettable memories happened there back 30years ago.
Hi Paddy. Just wanted to say thanks for the recommendation about Erawan Falls. You inspired me to add it to my Thai bucket list and I recently checked it out with my family. Truly amazing. Thanks for the tip!
Paddy, I kind of agree with you! I wonder about jumping into a fast moving river as well! The raft looks cool though and those waterfalls are gorgeous. Fun to watch!
The waterfall swimming was so fine! I couldn’t stop laughing from your bewilderment of what was going on and then everyone jumping in that river was too much lol. You were smart to stay on that raft. No way I would have followed the crowd either!
Great video. You show us many things that we would never experience for ourselves. Thank you for that. Please don't feel that you need to do anything that makes you uncomfortable for the sake of a video. We love you just the way you are. 👍
Ive done this exact thing its great. Everybody has beers and food as local beers and alchol is super expensive being in the middle of nowhere. But that current really does push you down stream, you look so confused about it all.
This day looked like so much fun, even with the hiccup of not being able to find places. I totally get not wanting to do things like jump into the river ... I won't go sledding any more because the last time I went - almost 15 years ago - I got knocked flat on my back because someone slid into me ... So I'm not even remotely interested in winter weather activities now. 😆😁
Just that waterfall would make it worth the trip! Stunningly beautiful! I'm with you, I'm not jumping off a perfectly fine 'raft'! I'm curious, though, about where they ended up? Back on the raft? Or did they just float back to where they started?🤷🏻♀️ I'm glad to see you back on the road again! Another awesome 😎👍 video! Stay safe!
A couple times I used this kind of raft service . It's fun , safe and popular . Apparently the raft comes back to pick them up but some love floating back to the resort .
Looking forward to having a swim at the falls! Looks stunning! We’ll probably follow your example and avoid jumping from the raft too. Heard the massive fish love a bit of ginger, so I’d be doomed! 🐟😳
Hi Paddy great vlog mate, the family and I went on a road trip and we went to Erawan falls, absolutely beautiful, we went to level 7 then went swimming afterwards, I’ve got it in my playlist and can’t wait to go back 👌🏼
Loved it mate, bummer you didn't get some cold ones on the thai raft, but what about the jumping in the water 😮 thai style. Anyhow, stay safe and take care and as always, C Ya in the next one, cheers 🙌🍻
Great Video, The Water Falls will be on my list, to do. The rafting , we will see, but how did the people who jumped in get back on the raft? or did they just float down the river? Looking forward to the next one......
If you go to Pilok Village Should go up to Doi Chang Suek between 17:00 and 18:00, there will be a sound of prayers sounded throughout the village. I saw the border line and the sea of clouds. and the inner sea on the Burmese side if the weather is good On the way down there is a cave where he dug a tin mine. Somsak Mine is cold and crystal clear like a koi fish mirror. and aquatic plantsAnd the walking grassy grass feels like a carpet and the small waterfall of this mine during the rainy season. Apart from Jog Kadin Waterfall If you're lucky, you might come across foxes, cherry blossoms and Australian Aunt Glenn who have lived here forty years now. The average temperature throughout the year is about 20-25 degrees and should go up to the hill of the flagpole. Thailand-Myanmar border and below there is a Burmese village has his own way of life and 3-4 delicious restaurants with a weekend market Because I've been going there since I don't have any acquaintances, almost 10 times now, to go to a friend's house.
Falls-GORGEOUS 🌟🌟🌟 but MY glaring question jumping into river was-ARE THEY FLOATING ALL THE WAY BACK😳😳🤭😂 I mean, if I could SEE through it to bottom-ok, but umm NO! Me neither! Personally, I also don’t rush-hate it with a passion! If not prepared mentally, not happening! Also, as we ‘slow down’ we discover more around us, and choose our ‘excursions’ carefully lol. As always thoroughly enjoy your views! Safe travels🙏🏻❤️
I have been busy recently (Moved to Japan from the US) and havn't been able to watch for a while. I wanted to say 1: Great video! 2: You're looking great. Looks like you have lost several kilos. Keeps up the good work!
Nice one brother 👍 the only problem now is that my daughter is watching your channel and she keeps bugging me to see all of these beautiful places. As my base is samui you can do the maths bro....🤣 my father will visit me soon and he always wants to go and honour the fallen dutch soldiers at River kwai so I'll be in the neighbourhood soon and I will check it out. As always stay safe and healthy my RU-vid friend ❣️ 🙏🍻
Hey Paddy. When we visited Kanchanabury we stayed at a hotel on the river in 2019 and it was for about $60 usd. It also included breakfast and a dinner. I think the hotel may have been called The River Hotel or something like that. I remember the hotel being near the cave temple and the place with the people that have the rings on their necks. It was a really nice experience. Looking forward on going back.
Oh yeah. The current was ridiculously mental. I felt tempted to jump in a couple of times but when we checked in the guy doing our walk through showed me a snake jumping into the river near our hotel not to far from we’re you would jumó in to the current.
One of your best videos! Love the falls. I would have jumped in. One of the best things to do in Texas is tube the river in New Braunfels. You should look that up on RU-vid... Ha ha You tube! Get it?
You missed it as every body float to the stater point in front of the hotel to get up . It fun as me n my kids and friend used to do it . It s fun and staff will help you to get up to the bank if you cannot . 555
This place look so gorgeous 09:28 but that rafting was very odd, what a pity no one explained what was going on. They could clearly see you were confused and had nothing to drink, how strange!
Did the raft-dog jump into the river? It looks like a Labrador Retriever -- a very good swimmer with webbed toes. Anyway, lots of fun in paradise -- I enjoyed the music as always. Heading back to Canada this evening. It has been a real treat following your videos during our past 72 days here in Thailand. I will be tuning into your adventures from cold snowy Toronto soon -- a 12 hour time difference. Rock on, Mr Doyle!! dcb
Kanchanaburi is one of my favorite provinces, if not my #1 favorite. I try to get up there whenever I can. Next time, you should check out Namtok Sai Yok Noi. Virtually as pretty as Namtok Erawan but nowhere near the crowds. (It's on the other side of the mountain ridge as Erawan)
Paddy My Old China , You should have had visited The War Cemetery . The Queen Elizabeth 2nd did pay a visit to The War Cemetery in 1971 during Her State Visit to Thailand . On that occasion , one relative of a missing soldier ( British ) saw her brother's name on a plaque while The Queen was walking along the path . The relative knew that her brother was missing in action .The discovery had brought her peace of mind then she came to Thailand pay a respect to her brother . She said " she would not had known if The Queen was not at The War Cemetery.
