Fascinating!!!! I’ve heard that illnesses such as this are much akin to what drives alcoholism. With alcoholism alcohol is the primary symptom. In a strange way it’s also a solution to the underlying causes. I believe the underlying illness could be described as a Spiritual Malady. A separation. A lack of connectedness. In other words a lack of power. A spiritual malady could be experienced like depression hatred anxiety. It’s self folded onto self and folded onto self and folded onto self. In other words wrapped up and hidden away from god from others from fellows. The only solution I’ve found is exactly your experience. To be dragged out into the sunlight of the spirit.
