I could listen to PD sing anything - that's lucky as he did ! but here and in all the G & S recordings i've heard him in he really seems to enjoy himself

Thank you for that, Colonel. It appears that my late father's set that I have is different from either of ones that you played. I presume that my missing broken record is No B.3850 as the one before it is B.3849 and the one after it is B.3851. The cast includes George Baker, Bertha Lewis, Derek Oldham, Darrell Fancourt, M Dickson and Stuart Robertson. Some of these names are known to me; I've seen and heard several records by Stuart Robertson who is a very good singer.
