Parley was a 2 year old mini that had an unfortunate accident at the Marion Therapeutic Riding Association. He arrived to Equine Performance Center at a 3 out of 5 lameness. After further diagnostics, Dr. Rullan and his team found bone fragments and some remodeling in both of his shoulders. Parley received ozone injections, PRP (platelet rich plasma), magnawave, vibration plate, swimming and aquapacer! We knew that Parley was a fighter from the beginning and he wanted to get better so he can perform his greatest job; therapy to children in need. Parley is a registered therapy horse that travels to hospitals and special needs schools to bring a light into their hearts
Parley is now a 4 year old that has touched many hearts. now he travels to social events with Marion Therapeutic Riding Association and Equine Performance Center. In March 2020 made an appearance at the Horse Capital Parade in Downtown Ocala Square where he showed kids how amazing horses are. As Parley and his handler were leaving, a mom and her son came up and asked if they could try to pet him. The boy was autistic, so he isn’t able to enjoy as many things as other kids can. Parley immediately walked to him and showed him that everything was okay. The boy was very nervous, but Parley knew and within 10 minutes, Parley sparked a new love in the boy’s heart.
