Pile 1: I’ve struggled with maladaptive daydreaming from a young age as a trauma response and up until yesterday I had no intention of stopping because it was also so comforting, but after some thinking I realized that I struggle with things like depression and anxiety because I value the life I live in my head more than my own, and neglect myself more often than not. I don’t have any hobbies other than daydreaming, and now I have to find ways to fill those moment of silence with new hobbies that will add to this life. Decided to stop and try to embrace my own life fully feels like the first step in achieving my dreams in this life, and this reading was such a confirmation thank you so much.

Pile 2: talking about resting, really resting ❤ I did a 'dark retreat' about a month ago and it was really amazing. I love using my phone watching videos etc and didn't/don't feel like I have a meditation/'daily practice' with stuff like that but I didn't need it. It was so peaceful and freeing and comforting just BEING in the dark and not having anywhere to be, anything to do, thinking there's anything I 'should' be doing, etc. I plan on going back in the future and integrating more of that, whatever comes up, whatever I learn into my life. I recommend dark retreat for anyone. I discovered them from a girl on yt called skylife. The one she went to is booked for a while but there's another one in Oregon that has more openings if you google dark retreat Oregon. Anyway made me think of this! 🌑✨🌕🌛💖

Haha, pile 2. Believe it or not, 10 minutes into the reading I began to feel aggravated and angry. "UGH! FINE! I'll turn off social media and REST! Its not like I can turn my brain off or something >:(" And then more of my emotions began to process in the silence. And it opened my eyes and I asked myself "....wait.... how much have I been giving? has it always been this way for my entire life? throughout my entire relationships? I give and give and always on the move to prove myself but Im hardly receiving....? Taking a break.....? BEING the one nurtured instead of the other way around?" Pile one is soooo spot on! Especially the part that says about something like “you don’t need to EARN pleasure, you don’t need to prove yourself to be worthy of feeling happy” because I was raised up in an Asian family, we often empathize the concept of “you have to experience bitter in order to taste the sweetness” you have to prove your worth in order to feel happy. I chose pile 1and it was spot on. Amazing work, girl. And I just uncrated a painting 2 days ago…I did 20 years ago….of Mother Mary. So I knew right away I had to pick pile one! The lack of pleasure and joy and motivation, the dry spell you mentioned is absolutely where I’ve been the last half a year to a year and yet I’m setting up a chapter of getting back into my painting journey/hopefully career again… and I do feel a shift under way from the low energy period i just went through. Pile2 - over the last week, something popped up that triggered my sense of shame and being aware of it, it was like a moment of choice - do i keep the same unconscious reactions of internalizing people's judgement and making myself shrink smaller for it, or do i honor the person i had to be then to be who i am now? the life i was still living wanting to someday succeed by the standards of my family - for whom money means everything, over and above love and peace with self. that can't go on any longer. even the eye of horus was on point - when my heart is open, i can hold the intention for healing even as i go to sleep and it is so deeply restorative and soothing.
