First two minutes of your video explained EVERYTHING I have been searching for, as far as questions about how to use DJ mode… like why is it so difficult for others to just get straight to the point when explaining this function! FFS. Thank you for making things so clear and to the point =)
I ask my self the same question sometimes. I think they are going for retention rather than information maybe. I guess thats where I come in...lol Thank you for the comment. 💯
Dude your voice is sooooo soothing in headphones I feel asleep watching this! That was meant as a huge compliment! But also, the info here is so helpful to me thank you!
Like I said, the DJ mode is cute and can be used for other creative ideas. To try and DJ a serious event would be taking a huge risk. At that point, the only thing that would be missing is the sense to say I’ll pass…😎🙏🏾
Very cool demo! I've learned a lot of new features! But I was wondering if there is a way to halftime bpm's more easily for if I would like to mix a boom bap record to a trap record?
Dope video. Thanks for the explanation. Looks interesting but a cumbersome. I’m really curious if this function actually has any real world application? I myself couldn’t imagine using this in a live situation. Coming from a DJ background, I’d rather just use a DJ controller or an iPad/laptop it’s kool Roland thought about this function. If anybody uses it live let me know how it goes. I’m interested to hear.
hola que pasa carnal saludos desde queretaro, mex para preguntar si en este sampler en el modo dj se puede hacer demostraciones ya sea en vivo o grabacion de pistas tipo chopped and screwed???
Not yet. It honestly works better than I thought it would. This mode can be used for so many other things in my opinion. I will keep you posted. Thanks.
Mine bugs sometimes. When I have a lot of stuff loaded in DJ mode it’ll restart occasionally. Sucks but I realize it’s not specifically for that so I just use it for fun not professional DJing
The fact that you have to have the songs loaded onto the deck pads before you can play them, in my opinion makes the DJ Mode pointless! You may as well DJ in the same fashion you would on the SX or 404A! Since it has internal memory now; you should be a go through the songs on the fly and not have to commit to a pad prior to entering DJ Mode….Roland obviously don’t have any DJ’s on their development team!
Lol!!! Good point. I honestly don't think they except you to DJ with it, Roland is showing off to say the functionality is there. Let me confirm though. I'll get back to you. Thanks for the comment.
Just getting into things here but this is the real killer. I'd love it even if it could just act as a single deck to be output to a mixer like a CDJ! Can use a project to load up all your songs but it's gonna take forever and the organization becomes a pain. Really hoping they put out an update!
@@artisans8521 Yep. As title suggest.. Is it practical? I think Roland wanted to show off a bit to say, this mode is there if you need it. After all the SP was designed with live performances in mind.
