#1 New Release in Classic Fantasy A Prince's Errand, Book One of Tales of the Amulet begins an exciting new epic fantasy saga.
Several millennia ago a war raged between the factions of dragonkind. With their world ravaged, the Kaldean Alliance forged the Amulet of Draconic Control and the Tethering Stone, and banished their foes to other realms, saving Kalda from utter destruction. Fearing the power of the Amulet, the survivors secreted it away. But now knowledge of the Amulet has resurfaced--and in the wrong hands, war could erupt anew.
A PRINCE'S ERRAND
Long ago, men harnessed the Channels of Power, creating tevisrals-devices capable of manifesting magic. But men weren't the only ones to accomplish such feats. Dragons crafted the most sophisticated tevisrals. These shaped the world, defining civilization of man and elf alike.
Over the centuries, the people of Kalda have fallen into a dark age, where elves are estranged from men and dragons have retreated into legend. Tevisrals are scarce and men are willing to trade everything for them. But there are some who wish to bury the past, and in their lands, possessing tevisrals is tantamount to treason.
Still, daring men scour the world in search of Kalda's past. One such man, the scholar Krindal, seeks an ancient order known as the Keepers of Truth and Might. He yearns for their knowledge, long feared lost.
Prince Kaescis Midivar also searches for these Keepers. The assassination of his uncle, the emperor of Mindolarn, killed his hopes of peace with his empire's enemies. His empire's survival hinges upon unearthing the Keepers' secrets.
An aging warrior, Cornar Dol'shir, longs to be home with his wife. But his retirement must wait, as his band of adventurers is recruited to help find the Keepers' hidden temple on the Isle of Klindala.
Haunted by his tragic past, Iltar, the Son of Adrin, does not join in the search for the Keepers. Instead, he seeks to unravel the mysteries held within a volume of prophecy foretelling the advent of the Unspoken One and the return of the Crimson Eye. His search takes him to the Empire of Mindolarn, where all is not as it seems.
An ancient war was won by a simple amulet. It brought peace, but in the wrong hands it could spell a doom the likes of which no world has ever seen.
May the Crimson Eye remain hidden for all time.

Getting Kramer to read this was a stroke of genius, he has a way with this type of prose wich is simply masterfull. Really makes the most out of the writing, wich in itself is quite good and well formulated. Dan & Robert deserve to be far up on the bestseller lists with a story like this. Hope they get the admiration and respect that should come with a major accomplishment like this, unfortunately its really hard to stand out in todays market even if your product is flawless.

Unfortunately slow 🐌 😴 Excellent world building and character development Superior narrative execution A little more action and a little less verbose conversations. So close to being a tour de force in the Genre (yes set up that well) Deep story that needed a touch of activity to securely connect characters 🎉

There are many events that have happened between the prequel and A Prince's Errand. But if you listen to The Prisoner of Tardalim and then A Prince's Errand that's enough to understand the series.

All the names of people feel like something just to take up space. I can't follow who is who also using a distance of space made up is very hard to imagine the distance or size of something

break the rust off your wallet and pay the 10 bucks for premium, it's worth it if you watch a lot of youtube and don't like to watch adds. I will always pay for no adds if there's an option. trust me it's worth every penny because I don't need adds to tell me about a million useless gadgets and programs and blah blah blah freaking blah. now i listen to whole audiobook series' with absolutely no interruption and no useless baloney adds for stuff I will never buy and don't need to see.

These Authors Definitely Show Heavy Influence From Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time With The Dream Time Sequences Relating To Tel'Aran'Rihod Of TWOT And Ter'Angreal / Angreal Before The TevisRals ( Probably Spelled That Wrong) And Of Course That Also Brings To Mind The Highly Advanced Ancient Magical Civilizations Lost Due To A Worldwide Calamity Being Like Robert Jordan's The Age Of Legends Falling To The Breaking Of The World
@legendsofkalda
@legendsofkalda Год назад
Actually, we never read the Wheel of Time before we started working on our series. A lot of our influences come from much older works, particularly Dune (which Wheel of Times takes a lot from, from what Robert's read). As far as the tevisrals are concerned, we were calling them "technological magical devices" in our earlier drafts but since that's a mouthful we took the words apart and spent a few months coming up with a variety of words. The Vabenack sequences are mostly influenced from remote viewing and lucid dreaming techniques that were used in project Stargate and some obscure LDS theology.

Well let's say my favorite authors of recent times. Good luck with all your hard work and imaginations the world loves it. And also the naming of things is something I take seriously to the heart.
