Yes, your opponents should be Chinese, Persian, Saracen, Turks, Goths, Tatars, Cumans. Start off with fortress walls to keep them safe till castle age.
It honestly is crazy how slanted the game can look in your favor and suddenly it's completely the opposite. Armenians is a tough civ to carry like that, especially vs Franks and Mongols!
Hera is so good he even doesn't care about the number of enemies, also his dark age is extremely clean, not to mention he's tired. and he didn't have the gold for loom lmao
Other ideas for making this type of game mode interesting: * if you destroy someone's starting town center they are defeated (but this doesn't apply to you) * if someone drops below 20 villagers in castle age, they are defeated * you start with extra vills and/or town center * your buildings cost 50% as much wood * you start in Fuedal Age
With the extra 10k gold or not? Because then it would be way too stacked for him. But without.. maybe this could be good. There is certainly way more content to come with this.
the tc thing is kind of dumb, there are many situations when the starting tc is done but you're still completely fine 20 vils minimum is dumb too, it makes castle drops very risky and 20 vils can still boom back if you're only being harrassed and not completely destroyed extra starting vils i can't complain about(but not tc, that's overpowered) cheaper builings make booming incredibly powerful starting in feudal age is kinda pointless but ok
@@volcanic_slothCalling the suggestions dumb is a bit harsh. Also the idea behind their suggestions is to allow Hera to remove some players with a fast push. In the current format it's impossible as anyone who gets attacked early can run and reboom. It's near impossible to beat 2 to 3 players who make it to Imp. Let alone when there are still 7 players thus forcing players to defend their starting TC would enable Hera to remove players early. Even then it's unlikely he can push that advantage that well before he's facing 3 fully boomed players.
@@AH17293 you're suggesting it to be impossible to reboom even after just being raided, removing players early by slowly destroying their tcs doesn't sound early, that would just be overpowered by allowing hera to snipe tcs but not killing off players. the only reasonable way to disallow players from rebooming is to force them to resign after they lose all of their tcs at home or are left with less than 8-10 vils(that way you must have at least 1 tc near your starting point which eliminates any attempts at escaping into the pockets and also allows heavily raided/castledropping players to continue living after losing a lot of vils) and even then, hera can win in a 1v7 with just the extra pop space, if he loses 1 game, that deosn't mean he loses all of them
You came close than I thought. They ha their favorite civs, super late game heavy too + you got no extra pop and a random civ. Was a great game to watch for sure.
Hey Hera, have you ever played Game of Thrones mod? It's called Clash of Kings (SoTL made a video about it very recently), it's for 8 players. If not, it would be legendary to watch you playing it :) I had lots of fun watching you play the lotr scenario recently and to me the GoT one is even better. I got into it just few days ago, played 4 games and managed to win one, it was the best, the best experience I've ever had in aoe2 :) you could even play with your viewers for the best experience and the coolest climate.
In Feudal Age, you should attack the player right next to you and then work your way from there (counter) clockwise, until all 7 of them are in one spot fighting for the same ressources while trying to stay alive
honestly your boom should be even more greedy, like abuse market to hit 5-6 tc´s instantly after fc abuse, also extra pop needed even if it just 300 to take proper fights with proper deathball comps
also i feel like you lose way too many of those 1v x games cause you don´t play the extra pop, like we all know you are him but you can´t play properly 200 pop vs like 600+ or in this case 1400 pop, like even full pop 700 scouts no upgrades on the field would ruin your day every time cause you can´t be everywhere with standard 200 pop
Hera do you think you'd be able to fend of against this strat: 3 players send their scouts to lame ur sheeps. 2 Players send their 3 vills to get your boars killed. 2 players focus on getting fast feudal and scout rush.
Can I just point out that, I know the Xbox symbol doesn't necessarily mean they are playing on Xbox. But the chances are he is and that flare you saw us an Xbox bug that's been there since day one. You can't flare on Xbox without everyone in the game seeing it, no matter what your chat settings are on.
In normal games, Hera can't wait to rush and destroy his opponent as quickly as possible. But in 1v7, Hera waits as long as he can before he attacks anybody. Makes sense ... but not if you are playing for the win. Just my 2 cents ...
Why not idle TC in dark age a little to get the market faster. Would have been an even faster castle age, and then bought imp right as your hit castle age primarly to get all eco upgrades and full boom. Plus allow picking up range upgrades early in case they had offered early pressure. Also bought more churches to maximize eco efficiency and get as much pop for milliarty as quickly as possible. Honestly this should be higher pop limit for solo player as otherwise you inevitably lose just to pop cap not being able to keep up to the other players
I would have picked spanish in this game. Conquistador is great. Have 50 paladin. 10 conquistador. 4 cavalry monks for healing. this allows you to move super fast, go city to city taking down buildings with cavalry massacre vil with conquistador and next city. Red and orange, no need to destroy them, just gotta stall their econ a bit, focus on purple and hoot

Hey about we repeat this but you get an extra 1k food, 1k wood, 5k gold and 2k stone with 300 pop? Then your start would be insane enough to actually do this. Atleast with a little chance.
Really good game. Think it was a throw booming to imp instead of going for like 3 TC into buying a bunch of longswords in castle age to take out someone and then work clockwise across the map. Not making any units until imp+5 with Armenians is a really poor decision
if anyone below 1500 has crazy army, you can just defeat them by going onager/SO, if u go with enough numbers they can't micro their army and just die. Thats the win condition for you in these sort of games. Your SO target fire is crazy
haha looks like a fun game, the mistake was focusing too much attention taking out the noobs next door. purple and boot were up there for a long time, should have just rushed them during castle age, stall their econ. Imperial age wipe them out. Whoever imp you attack whom. You have all the privelege at the start. The longer the game, the less advantage you have. On the other hand, if i was facing you, i would come into feudal and drop a tc next to yours. Though i may not win because you have the gold to buy whatever, but i can stall valuable time for teammates to get strong.
bc. in castle age you should have like 100 vills, 50 knights and all the techs vs. people with just minimum army. You can even take out castles and be one big train of destruction! Can't wait to imp vs. 7 with 200 pop
Just looking at this around 15 min in, you have 3k gold in the bank, and basically never dropped below this. One or maybe 2 stables in addition to the boom when you hit castle would have been insane. most of your opponents were still deep in feudal, or even dark age. You kill 1-2 players for sure with 4-8 knights when they are stuck in dark/early feudal, no?
I think you would be better off with 10k food because you really needed to defeat at least 3-4 players quick to have a fighting chance against the rest
Before having even watched the first 10 seconds of the game I already know he is doomed. If he had 500 pop to play with it might be cool, but just 10k extra gold is nothing. LEts say he gets an insanely fast feudal like 14 pop or smth, builsd a market and buys himself to castle or something. Nothing makes up for the 7 combined economies. Even if he gets such an insane explosive start and gets imp very quick, takes out 3 players. He is still alone with 200 pop against 4 others. This is impossible. I would put my life savings on this. No one could do this.
