You can keep the sunflower heads, guys. Either keep the seeds for yourselves after drying or leave the heads out for the birds. Also, its Chinese bind weed that takes over, smothers and wraps around things in the garden. Make sure you pull all the root or it will start again. Hope thats helpful. Sending ❤
I have just found you on youtube and am currently binge ing your recent videos.. You bring such a sense of realness and I'm am so here for it ♥️ thank you
Thank you for a lovely inspiring video Kay and Dom. I had a good day on my allotment a few days ago, put in onion sets and garlic. We then had 2 days of hammering rain here in the borders of Scotland. Went to check yesterday and all the onions had been dug up by rodents I think. Was fairly fed up. However, today is another day. Onwards and upwards. Have a lovely cosy weekend. x
Buddleia should be cut back hard after flowering as should Japenese anemones. Just be careful with shrubs, google them first and make sure they don’t flower on this years growth as you won’t have flowers next year. Looks so much better now, when the rain stops I need to tackle mine! xx
Buddleia is hard to kill, It's a very tough plant. Also the weed is bindweed, and you need to get it all out, otherwise it takes over. Lovely vlog, thank you. Xx❤
Can you post link for journel please tryed looking on amazon. Im currentley on 10 days isolation due to having covid so now seems like the perfect time to try and make an effort writing lists seems like a good place to start and setting myself goals to try and get healthier . Loving your vlogs xx
Hello Kay, Dom, Echo & Rory! Great video today as always, plenty of motivation to complete tasks I’ve been putting off!! The garden looks amazing in its hibernation state and somehow looks larger than when you began! Your home is absolutely beautiful because of the gorgeous color palette & peaceful vibes I feel whenever you video indoors. Sending love & hugs to you sweet Kay 🥰❤️🙋🏻♀️🍁🍂
Good morning love! It’s like 630 Saturday morning and I am definitely motivated to get my butt moving. That was an incredible amount you two accomplished! Definitely want a wasp best update! Explains why are little ones kept getting stung! I have never seen a nest inside a fruit before!! That’s kinda scary! I am clearly no gardener, never had two twigs to rub together as we say, but I love watching gardening shows and I think … 🤔… they encourage letting a bew garden go wild and get strong in its first year! So well done! Also, have to ask 🤗, when you were editing the video and came upon Dom calling you his fiancée, did you get a little misty 🥰🤗😃🙏🏽, or is that my sentimental old arse lol!
Hi lovely 💗💗 It felt so good to get it all done, phew! Been a long time coming. Yeah we saw them all buzzing around the pears so we've just left them for now. It's only just become a problem as the pears have started dropping off the tree and turning into mush on the ground 🙈😂 Hahha yes it was cute to edit! Bless him xxxx
I love Fall cleanup! While doing I keep in mind what it will be like next Spring when perennials, shrubs comes back and bloom anew. It will be beautiful 🍁☀️🍁
@@Livingthelifeyoulove nothing exciting, just lobby (stoke name for stew) it’s perfect for this weather, basically throw whatever veg and/or meat that you have and cook long and slow till you want to eat. Xx 🍂🪵🍁🍄🎃🦔🌾🌻🧡🦦💛🤎🐈🐈
This was soooooo satisfying to see how much you both accomplished Kay can't wait for tomorrow's video would love to see more of this ofcourse yes! Thank you so much for sharing 😘
Wasps are only eating the pears they are not nesting in them, its what nature does this time of year-insects are paramount in the decaying process we need to keep the natural balance to keep the world going. Every species of being has a purpose. Wasps rarely sting when left alone-as with any creature or human left alone its fine. My apple tree always gets lots of excess and windfall apples and the amount of wasps I get in those is big, I just garden around them and they leave me alone as I do them. Once they have munched the pears they will go on their way.
I put my laundry away straight out of the drier or straight off the airer. Once you get into the habit you won’t have a huge pile to put away. Out in the wild. 😂 I honestly don’t know how you drag yourself off that lovely cosy sofa.
Dear Kay, if you don´t want any weeds so put some cardboard over winter on the top and they will die :-) And dear Dom, please use some protective glasses for the mowing your grass :-) All the best for you!
I tend to neglect the garden for a time and then tackle it in one day 😄 But in autumn it always feels so good after a day of gardening, a hot shower, and then with a warm cuppa tea on the couch. Nice video. Great job, you guys! 💪 Today it's pouring with rain here, so no gardening for me... Have a great weekend!
Ooooh it’s the best feeling isn’t it 🥰 it’s raining here today too, we tried to film this video last week but couldn’t catch a break with the rain 😂 finally got round to it and hasn’t stopped raining since the day we filmed! Have a lovely cosy day x
Im sorry if it was already explained but im curious what Dom was doing with the stepping stones when he dug them up and burried them? Thanks for the video! :)
When we put the grass down we just placed them on top and he's been slowly burying them over time 😊 He was just doing the last few, they were just sitting on top of the ground before which made mowing the lawn hard x
I love your calming videos….. Please consider using more environmentally friendly laundry products for example Ecover…. The products you use are really bad for aquatic life…. Thank you 💕✨🧺
