On the message at the start of the video, you said it crashed when erasing sector 256, i think its because since windows vista microsoft added a security feature that prevents erasing sectors that are part of a mounted partition

It's a ram disk created by the Setup cd. Notice it's only ~500MB. Windows 7 requires around 16 gigabytes

If you really want to perm delete an hdd, you can also zero it out with hxd. That's what I would do. Make sure it's connected to an another computer.

Wine can’t run as root (or admin) so it won’t have low level access to stuff like your disk’s blockfile, so it’ll just get access denied, it’s the same reason rufus doesnt work under wine
