I bought that puzzle at a fudge factory in Missouri. I cant explain the wear and the peeling paint because thats exactly how i bought the puzzle. It didnt come with any tags or anything like the others did. Not sure why. Ill try and help you look for it. Glad it brought some nostalgia for you.
Yes! They used to pop up at the local mall during the Christmas holidays, at a little shop in the middle of the mall. I looked forward to it every year back in the late 80s-early 90s 👍👍 They also had the twisted nails puzzle and the 'balance 6 nails on a single nail' puzzle also. All extremely easy, level 1 type puzzles.
