It's important to mention that fire damage can light sludge piles on fire, and that fire also spreads to adjacent piles, so a really good combo to run with Goobamna Special is the EPC with the Burning Nightmare upgrade to get an overpowered version of Sticky Flames CRSPR.
>the EPC with the Flaming Hell overclock to get an overpowered version of Sticky Flames CRSPR. No such overclock exists for the EPC. Im assuming you meant the Burning Nightmare tier 5 mod?
I intend on mentioning how the secondaries are designed to specifically aid the Driller's primaries, so thank you for calling this to my attention. I completely forgot about this mechanic and will investigate further.
Fun fact, the sludge pump completely ignores all types of armor in game, and eats away at non-indestructible armor. This means you can damage dreadnoughts from *any* angle with sludge blast.
the sludge pump is one of the most horrific weapons in any game i can think of and its so weird to think its from a game about dwarves fighting bugs in space
I take driller so I can "explain" to my "teammates" which unit system is objectively superior. The game's choice of using the metric systems allows me to automatically select which dwarves will experience the beauty of the explosive satchel - versus the dwarves who will know what 3m corresponds to.
This is when, after you've weeded out the laymen, you equip Fragmentary Shell to make sure everyone's understanding of safety is truly shattered... as well as their organs.
Cryogun? Check.. Satchel Charge set to max range destruction? Check.. Survivors? Negative.. Cryogun serves as a nice vehicle for sending a message to your teammates to chill out with the friendly fire..
1:06 I once instinctively tried to catch a bunch of molten hotglue before realizing it was a bad idea a little too late, causing the glue that had already reached my hand to get flung across my leg, giving me some pretty unpleasant burns at 2am before I had to be up in less than 4 hours to make it to a science fair. :)
I got ice storm very early on and ironicaly didn't using much, 'cause i thought since cc is really great with the driller it would've been kind of a meme It turns out, the perk that makes everything in melee of you freeze when you fire isn't affected by the oc's downside, so magneticaly charging into crowds like you're a tank in an mmorpg works super well and you deal tons of damage while still providing cc if you keep aware of where the most dangerous parts of the waves are Which is part of what made me realize how ironically a driller particularly appreciates a good scout, for the lighting
I think I was actually running that mod during the ice storm segment which is why everything was still freezing quickly. (I didn't want to use fragile and oversell the damage increase) You can still compensate for the freeze decrease with mods though and it is only -3, so if you truly wanted to shatter everything, you can use Fragile.
My top 3 parts of playing driller. 3. Saying "Hey, did you know Praetorian gas is flammable?" every time I kill a praetorian. 2. Saying "Hey, did you know Driller is immune to these miniature floor fires?" every time I do a mission in Magma Core 1. Asking "Hey, did you know Driller is actually a DPS class?" every time I essentially solo a dreadnought with Volatile Impact Mixture sludge pump
Just in case anyone's wondering what the extra ammo is for, think of it as conditional damage. Will you use the ammo? Then if you got 1/3 more ammo, you got 1/3 more damage/effect/whatever In other words, you exchange burst damage against extra dps on the long run at a condition, or burst against efficiency i guess. This is also why fire rate has a con side and why you always get more percentage extra ammo than damage Higher levels of difficulty are less generous with ammo, so this is where that principle can shine, don't bother with that if you're starting out
It all depends on what you are comfortable with as well. If you already grab all the nitra you can, and aren't afraid to excavate a cranium, you can casually use ammo reducing overclocks and mods while being under a mild thread of running dry. Also, some of the most exhilarating moments are when you are pushed to your limits, and running out of ammo during the start of a wave can make for the coolest comeback story.
Fuel stream diffuser is unironically the best crowd control overclock for the CRSPR. If you have the bugs coming at you in a straight line you can light all of them on fire, which means you get a whole lot of damage for only a bit of fuel. I advise using something that capitalizes on fire damage with this overclock.
I know most every engineer using the PGL likes the Fat Man OC, but me personally I can't wait to see what T-5 has to say about Hyper Propellant, why explode your enemy when you can simply delete their code from the game
Add that to the fact that frozen enemies take TRIPLE direct damage, and suddenly a Cryo Driller and Hyperprop Engie can nuke anything without a health gate.
Sticky Flames Crispr is the most powerful anti-grunt weapon in the game, albeit difficult to use efficiently if you aren't paying attention to where the enemies are coming from. Additionally, you can ignite tanky targets, which combos very well with any Gunners running Volatile Bullets. The Cryo Cannon is also very good, but almost 40% of its freezing power comes from cold radiance in tier 5, which only triggers once per second. That means increasing fire rate actively hurts your overall freezing power. Freezing stuff is harder to work with than burning stuff, because while fire kills grunts and enables combos to kill HVT's, ice only lets you combo grunts and HVT's without killing anything efficiently. Combined with it being harder to apply, and the safety freezing enemies provides may not be worth it.
I do not have a specific build in mind but all I know is that if you take ice spear and blistering necrosis the damage done to dreadnoughts is absolutely absurd
I love both those overclocks. Specifically Blistering Necrosis because it's that flavor of inhumanly evil that gives you a gitty chuckle in game and nightmares when you think about it.
While fluoroantimonic acid sounds good I'm more of a chlorine trifluoride man. It's just that extra bit pissed off (it dissolves, burns, and all the way through it breaking down is SUPER toxic) that just tickles my fancy.
Finding videos on Fluoroantimonic is impossible since it is explosive when reacting with the moisture in the air; but there is one I found where someone just used a dropper of that stuff on meat, and it was unholy. IDK how much Chlorine Trifluoride is required to dissolve something, but I can safely say that with the quantities demonstrated in DRG, it's a surprisingly accurate example of the destructive powers of fluoroantimonic acid.
I just assume the dwarves have boots that use the same tech as their self-repairing shields. This protects them from the worst of acid and sticky flames, but can be momentarily punctured by spikes. Also they aren't all too insulated, hence why walking on molten rock can burn your feet through your boots. As for the Septic-Spreader, is it really any surprise that Hoxxes found a way to evolve an acid that's _even stronger_ then the strongest acid known to science?
Was trying to find your channel, but thats hard when you watch so much DRG content and so many diffrent creators. Realized that i was alrdy subbed Well, now i have to wait again for ya to upload. Sad emoji
Don't worry friend. I am working on part 2 as we speak. IDK how long the editing will take since I have to get my wisdom teeth removed along with other obligations this week, but rest easy knowing that more content is in the making.
You may have allready seen oe thought about this, but goo bomber special is super good with burning nightmare for the epc. You can spew burning goo everywhere and it dose alota dmg :)
If i had a penny for every youtuber i discovered with killing floor videos but that mainly does drg videos i'd have 2 pennies, wich isnt much but its weird that happened twice
Nice video and funny but... It's also not fault that the US uses the imperial system and not the metric system xd (USA, Liberia and Myanmar only use imperial). Still don't know why US doesnt change it. But very good video I enjoyed + like
While I do enjoy my extra ammo for more killing before needing a resupply. I will say that Double Dipping without thinking about the teammates makes you a certified Pointy-eared Leaf Lover.
@@anzullic It scales; though most situations are easier with allies since you get infinite revives as long as someone is alive. If you do want to tread the caverns with a crew and lack the friends to do so, you can always join someone else's lobby or create your own public lobby.
You've got to scratch your war crime itch somehow. (For legal reasons: also a joke) At least it's not like KF2 where it's being done to humanoids that react in pain.
4:30 Hilariously, as a mostly primary Cryo Driller with 200+ hours, the clean Overclock "Thermal Efficiency" is actually, pretty much the only overclock that I use. The base cryo is already so good that +25 ammo, and +25% "Magazine Size" are actually exactly what I want... Though I wish that it gave at least like 50 extra ammo, 25 is basically nothing. I used "Tuned Cooler" for a long time, then switched to "Thermal Efficiency" and it just seemed like a straight up boost. I haven't really played around with the new sticky ice "flames" yet.
Flouroantimonic acid is so strong even a drop of it could eat through a glass beaker, the table that beaker was on, and then the floor. It's also extremely reactive with water, by which I mean it fucking explodes. Even the moisture in the air can cause it to explode. How do you contain this stuff that eats through anything and everything? With the one exception to that, teflon. The stuff that lines your non-stick pans
Yah. I did a LOT of research on Fluoroantimonic Acid for this video and I'm sure I'm on some kind of government watch list. It's sad that most of the videos of Fluoroantimonic Acid are just people dissolving Gallium spoons in warm water. It made it so I didn't have a reference for how it handles metal and I had to put the disclaimer that it's weaker against it and I believe glass as well. That stuff will still bore a hole through just about anything though given enough time and it instantly deconstructs biological tissue hence why there were next to no videos on it. It blows up from moisture, erodes your lungs if you're too close, eats through its own packaging if acquired, and is generally a not fun time.
