For today's video, we just have a quick(ish) check-in to update you guys on a few things. I heard back from Mayo Clinic this week, so we are happy to report that things are moving on that front to get me set up with a team of doctors and a cancer treatment plan.
We are continuing on our fertility (IVF) journey in preparation of my egg retrieval coming up later this week. Our hope is that we can get some viable embryos to freeze so we have options if we decide to build a family in the future.
We also wanted to take some time to discuss the future of "Krocks In The Kitchen" and how our content will look going forward. We still have SO many wonderful whole food, plant-based recipes that we've already filmed that we will be sharing with you during times when I am not feeling as well or we just need a break. Those videos are filled with the same old goofy Jessica & Brian you guys who've been with us for a while have come to know and love. I already know that Brian will be developing SO many new dishes as my personal chef throughout my treatment, so you can be sure there will be many "cancer-fighting" recipes to come!
Things have been tough, and we do put on a brave face most of the time, but there's still so much uncertainty and in reality, things just plain suck a lot of the time right now. But we realize that we are not alone in this fight, and so many of you have been through or are going through similar battles of your own. We can't thank you enough for just being here with us wherever life takes us next.
