Fish biology 101. Always a great topic. I was just watching a video from Rachal where she mentioned the caudal fin and I had to stop and think back to remember just where it was located. Thanks for sharing.
Prime Time Aquatics - yeah, this is something I knew 45 years ago but it's like other pieces of information you recall very often. You just seem to misplace it. :)
Great video, very informative. interesting additional observation from fishing is that alot game fish like trout and bass seem to have patterns or coloration differences along the lateral line. IDK why though. I would love to see more videos regarding the anatomy of fish as well as maybe more in-depth info like why some coloration and patterns occur on different species of fish.
Prime Time Aquatics well not for me. I got approx 50% correct, but I dazzled myself when I remembered lateral line. And who can’t remember the immature giggles at that age when ‘ anal fin’ was said. It was right up there with the laughs in Science class when ‘uranus’ was referenced.
This was the first video with the new set-up. I think we have it straightened out. The sound wasn't coming out as bad when editing. Thanks for watching. : -)
HELP! Please? There are micro "bugs?" In my betta tank. They are white and maybe have tails? Way way too tiny to get a photo. They are on the bottom, side of glass, and sort of swimming around. Nothing in the tank is new. 5gal heated glass tank with beta, mystery snail, dirt substrate, and small anubis plants. Tank has been set up since Christmas with nothing added since. Bi weekly 40% water changes. He is eating them! Thats how i noticed them. What tf are they? How did i get them? And are they going to hurt my beautiful little buddy? Also, just noticed some sort of whiteish clear stringy stuff on my snails shell. Everyone seems happy. All fins and scales look perfect. He is fat and happy but now im freaking out.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics Not worm like. I did a lot of research and i think they are copepods. From what i can see of them, they match the magnified photos. Theyre arent bad for the tank unless they start to be more of an infestation so I will be keeping an eye on them.
The solution to that is to listen to it again and switch your headphones around. : -) That was when my camera was new and I didn't realize I wasn't getting stereo. Dang it!
