1500 is fantastic for London. Especially if there are two people that’s 750 a month each if you’re earning 2 grand a month wages you really are living a decent lifestyle. Could afford a decent car aswell
I dunno man, £750 a month plus bills could easily be £1k+ a month. Then running a decent car is another £500+. That’s most of your pocket gone before even eating, saving or clothing yourself. It’s hard man 😖
@DeadlyDizzle-yn1vz This flat clearly isn’t for anyone living hand to mouth. The deposit alone would probably be at least 3 months rent upfront for this type of flat. Any place in London with a waterfront view is prime real estate so for 750 a month rent for a double bedroom en-suite large living room space to entertain guests and that view of the waterfront alone is a bargain. I’d definitely live there as a bachelor.
Can’t swing a cat in those bedrooms, for a main bedroom with en-suite it should be way bigger. The flat itself isn’t too bad but no way would I be paying 1.500 for that. 1000 top whack. Mind you I wouldn’t live in Barking if you paid me.
Hi, just be cautious around Bexley Heath. As a Londoner I can tell you that it has a horrible history on race relations. (It's just next door to Plumstead, where Stephen Lawrence was murdered.) The whole of east London and south east London do to be honest.) It used to be the headquarters of the National Front, a neo-nazi group. A lot of recent immigrants move to such areas because of the cheaper rent not knowing how potentially uncomfortable at best or dangerous at the worst, they can be. I really don't think all the racial tension has died down, infact with the economic downturn all of that ugliness tends to rear its ugly head again. Be safe. All the best in your new home. Sorry to be a debbie downer.
@ missc541 That was in the 80s and 90s 😂 racism is everywhere if you really want to find it. London is completely different now because of CCTV and dna you’re more likely to end up in a verbal spat than a physical altercation.
You lot make me laugh. Why pay a grand a month for living space. in one year you’ve paid more than 10 grand. are you lot dumb I just mooch at my friends house lol its saved me ridiculous sums
Where i live a lot of good family houses have been coverted into HMO's! The area is absolutely overpopulated with them and are mostly occupied by single men, on benefits that have either alcholic, drugs, mental health issues, or all the above whilst decent hardworking people/families, are forced into towerblocks and other undesirable buildings and neighbourhoods! It needs to STOP!
Would u one day retire in cspetown or prefer Europe. I'm also ex zims❤,also relocated to jhb,but left for London 35yrs ago. I also Love, value the uk transport, but as a pensioner I wonder if to retire to c.t. ? No decent public transport, expensive healthcare ?? I'd love your thoughts
