A Quick Look at the 2017 FORD F150 Tailgate Step 

This should be on EVERY Ford TV commercial ! For anybody over 40, or female, it's a must. Dealers should order every F-150 (XLT and up) with this option. The tailgate step alone will sell a truck for ya! Sob story: When I ordered it for my 2015 F-150 S/C 4X4 the salesman didn't even know about it, along with several other important design changes and differences from my 2013. Even though my 2015 is the 13th Ford I've leased, I still look forward to getting a new one. Instead of being happy, I was REALLY upset when my truck came in, all because of my salesman's lack of product knowledge. He TALKED ME OUT of the factory spray-in bed liner, factory tonneau cover, and a couple of other items. He said they could install them cheaper at the dealership. He KNEW I was leasing (again) but he FAILED TO TELL ME I could no longer add ANY "aftermarket" items on to the lease, so instead of several bucks added to my payment, I would have had to pay full price for everything! Almost $2700!!! Well, I didn't have an "extra" $2700 sitting around. Every cent I had for the lease start and downstroke had to be saved up on my fixed income. I STILL don't have a bedliner or tonneau cover, and I won't, until I order my 2015 (The one thing he did remember was the trailer brake wasn't in the TTow pkg. anymore) HERE'S A HINT for truck buyers: I always place my F-150 order just before model year build out (usually June) Naturally, I'll make damn sure it WILL be scheduled to be built. By ordering the truck at this time I'll get the model year-end incentives. We keep a very close eye on the dollar amounts and expiration dates of the incentives. It's very possible a specific rebate could expire on Sept. 30, So we wait to see the new incentives released on the morning of Oct. 1'st. We then DATE THE CONTRACT based on whichever is best, Sept. 30 or Oct. 1 ! (in 2013 by waiting a day, I gained a 0% rate, plus the rebates added up to $4500) There's your free advice for the day ! -351Charlie
