My mind is racing every time I try reading books. So my hubby reads books for me. And I can sit and do hobby things, and I love it. Right now we are reading Lord of the Rings, I haven't read that book just watch the films.

Fun video! 🤩 I totally agree with Olivia! I have ADD and sometimes I just can't focus enough to just sit and read a book. I often have to do something at the same time. Which is why I love audio books. It's great to live in a world where you can enjoy books even if you don't have time, or even the ability, to read 😃

Yes absolutely audio books are considered reading the book. It’s like cruise control for reading. Keeps you Focused and at a steady speed. I love audio books because I’m a multitasker. It lets me do more things at one time, dishes, mow lawn, planner. Etc.

Great idea Olivia! I read and do audio…but I am going to try putting them together…read and listen. Great idea. Adult reading…love that! You both are so wonderful! I will miss Olivia too. Please continue your book reviews ..and videos even though you are not in the same space🥰❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️

It has been great seeing you both together!! Sorry Robin but I am team Olivia on the book thing. I read on a Kindle and listen to audiobooks and they both count as "reading" to me even though it is not technically reading. Its great that Olivia likes to read and I would love to hear what books she likes. You are both so cute together!! Thanks for this video.

In my opinion, listening to audiobooks counts as “reading.” I rarely use audiobooks now because I do not have a commute and my desk job is too busy, but I used to (only unabridged books though). If you are in a book group and used the audiobook version over print, you can still discuss the book and help the book group with character pronunciation. 😜 Thank you for the book review! I’ve enjoyed the videos with Olivia. Safe travels!

I love books but audiobooks also rock! They fit nicely into a busy life and I count them as reading. I prefer physical books, but after keeping a reading log last year I realized I read more ebooks and audiobooks than physical books but I keep buying physical books! I decided maybe I need to reassess how I buy my books this year. Ebooks and audiobooks definitely are for ease-I can listen while I drive! I read (the physical book), Midnight Library and loved it!

Well I'm a slow reader at times, I can take forever to read a book, or finish one in a week. More recently I have become an audiobook listener, when I'm driving alone, or when I'm in public cause I have anxiety and found listening to a book at times helps my anxiety.

I think both count. I find it hard to listen to an audio until I’ve read the book first, but I have done similar to what Olivia does and both read and listened - usually listen when I’m doing chores and reading when I’m not. Side note, Matt Haig recently got diagnosed as both autistic AND ADHD.

I fall asleep to Bible audiobook, it is relaxing & sometimes let it play in the background of my day - i am a multi-tasker like Olyvia 😊

I smiled the entire time Olivia talked about how she best processes data from books because I do the same thing. But I didn’t figure out that this was the best for me until about 6 months ago. Game changer for me. Did your mom try it?

I’ve never listened to an audiobook, I prefer reading, but I have a son with dyslexia and he loves them. Reading is a chore for him so audiobooks open the wonderful world of books and reading for him.

Olivia is a very lovely young lady, good job mom! I don't think there is anything different from a person reading a book to you and an audio book, so I think whatever method is used to read that book counts. I've never tried reading along while listening though, but that is because I'm usually driving. But my car does slow down A LOT at good parts of the book, or when it is towards the end of the book and I don't want it to end.

I loved this book but my only criticism was too many lives. But it was a good life reflection to think of your own choices. So I’m a weirdo, I must have the physical book but listen to the audio along with following in the book!

Try 'Legends and Lattes’ by Travis Baldree for a cosy fantasy read that isn’t long (similar to the length of 'The Midnight Library’). You might like the plot-female warrior orc needs change of career so opens a coffee shop! It’s funny with found family trope and I think you’d like it as it suits your humour. Also, Emily Wilde’s ‘Encyclopaedia of Faeries’-is good. It’s also witty and about a quirky female academic. Finally, I enjoyed ‘The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches’ - Sangu Bandanna, another change of career tale and a found family fantasy story. Might spark a love for fantasy and then you can move on to a bigger book. All palette cleansers as your daughter called them and good if you are in a reading slump. Oh and finally- I loved ‘Only a Monster’ and ‘Never a Hero’- by Vanessa Len- time traveling fantasy-fast paced and really enjoyable.

Oh I forgot I live three hours away from my daughter so we do a book club and once a month we decide on a book and at the end of the month we video chat about the book.

That would be fun but Olivia and I read such different books. But I love to hear that you have that connection with your daughter. I would love it if Olivia lived that close to me
