Any technique to freshen up your locs can be detrimental…from palm rolling to interlocking if done incorrectly. It’s not the technique that harms the locs, it’s the person that’s doing it…I guess it’s important to learn which technique works best for your locs!! Love your work btw!! ❤️
🤔 To my eye the most unhealthy part of her hair was the dyed part. I would guess its primarily due to the colour. Her roots, (apart from the breakage) looked thicker and had a natural lustre, and looked in better health than the dyed part. So I'm confused with your point re interlocking. Perhaps I'm missing something? 🙆🏽♀️
I started getting my locs interlocked cause I went 6 months without a retwist during quarantine and I had 2 inches of new growth that wouldn’t lock no matter how many times it was retwisted. I’m 3 years in and my hair is super long but I’m thinking of combining them cause I have ALOT of hair, over 150 locs and I feel and look like a lion when I let my hair out
I have sisterlocks so they are interlocked but my consultant never works on dry hair for the reties - she makes sure my hair is damp and malleable as she moves through. It’s much more comfortable for me but also good for my hair strands. So far, so good - no issues for me or anyone I know.
I completely saturate my hair before interlock. I always heard it was unhealthy to do it dry. Is it safe to interlock on wet hair. I have 312 locks. Between working out and gardening, I have to wash my hair a couple of times a week. Interlocking is the only method that will work for me. Is that okay or would you recommend something else???? 💛💛💛💛
Wet hair is scientifically proven to have lower tensile strength when wet. The technique of manipulation really does matter. One's interlocking technique could be perfectly fine while someone else's may not.
I understand you said clarifying shampoo is to remove build of and strip excess products, but does us8ng the second product (moisture shampoo) and conditioner not do the same thing? Does conditioner add moisture back to the locs? I'm just trying to understand why both of the last two products are essential. Thanks❤️
Do you hydrate the roots of your locs first prior to interlocking? Can your roots be hydrated once interlocked? I thought once you reintroduce water to the hair, your roots would be ok by the time the next retie happens?
I hydrate my hair before I interlock and it helps a lot with my hair not breaking or getting damaged at the roots. I also don't interlock super tight, but I've only had my locs for 8 months so I'm hoping that process helps me in the long run
hi Damian Walter. the loctitian i went to started me on twists interlocked at roots. I have finr low density hair shoulder length. I'm scared now cause I'm not sure how to proceed... help please?
Most ppl say every 3 months.any more than that and that's when u hear the horror stories of ppls interlocks falling out. Interlocking is a great method if u do it right and dont overdo it.
Hello Damian, My name is Terrell and I'm having the hardest time trying to find. a product that would lock my hair. and nothing works..gels wax don't work on my hair at all it will crawl a loose after 2 or 3 days if I lay down on it. Plus I'm going thru Menopause and that doesn't help.. What can u recommend to me. I need ur HELP😞😭😁
I've tried to order your products specifically the loc n curl, but no response, no product and a refund from Paypal. Are they still available? I'd rather have the products than the refund.
I personally interloc my hair, but if you go through and watch some of his older videos, most of his clients have happy, healthy, beautiful locs. And they've been clients of his fir quite some time
@@tiffkelly9467 yes that’s true. I interlock my Locs sometimes. In this particular video I disagree with what he was saying. I agree his clients are happy with him, everyone has different opinions on things. Not everything works or agree on things. Peace Queen!
