I had previously never been exposed to the A Quiet Place franchise prior to this movie, it was a really good experience and story that I highly enjoyed.
The story about learning how to live in a world where youre meant to survive, as opposed to its counterpart, where they are actively dumbly simply trying to survive in the most inconvenient way possible.
I honestly think that while the other 2 are good experiences, they don't make sense, and actively ruin the new one.
I HIGHLY recommend people give THIS ONE a watch.

I never took a moment to think about the logistics of humanity and death angels, but I did always think that it's dumb to attempt to live your day to day in complete silence. As you say, even if you're extremely careful there will always be something else that'll do noise and you can't control that.

The problem with living on boats is that you need to make sure nothing happens to it, you need to grow enough food to have a colony while repairing any leaks and hoping that a wave doesn’t destroy it, day 1 isn’t ruined by part 2, many people from day 1 still survived, we might even meet Eric and The Cat in part 3

@@ThisIsAHandle-xz5yo Yeah I guess you're right, it doesn't ruin it. But idk, I feel like if I had watched the Part 2 prior to watching Day One I would've not only known they make it out, but that in time they are swarmed. And it kinda takes away from the experience. Thankfully I didn't go through that, but since it was produced after Part 2 it seems like a very odd choice.

@@ThisIsAHandle-xz5yo But then again it still doesn't take away from the conclusion, reality is there was no confirmation that Eric or Samira would make it. And as you say, we might see Eric going forward. Maybe he even shows up in Road Ahead, who knows.

@@Flipdew I always thought that a TV show would work well for A Quiet Place, there’s so many different ideas that could work in a TV show that couldn’t work in a movie, just showing a bunch of people different experiences. Imagine people on a cruise ship where a monster jumps on while the boats leaving and it’s just people hiding from the monster, or a reality show where the production just stops and since they lack access to the outside world they are just left there wondering what happened. There’s so many different things that could happen.

I didn’t love it as much as Part 1 or 2 but as a survival thriller with aliens, I really enjoyed my time. The characters were enjoyable and Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn were excellent together. Great review

I watched your review, I think it's interesting that we have different views about the franchise as you watched the first two movies before this one, and I watched it chronologically for the first time. In the end I think the fact that I watched this one first will undoubtedly ruin the other 2, specially the second one because I don't like that Man on the Island appears in both, essentially telling us that this movie leads nowhere lol. Huh, I watched Part 2 a while ago and I completely forgot that man on island died. Idk why they included him in this one that's true, it just tells you that the entire movie is essentially meaningless lol.

@@duncanaintreal It really is, it's such a stupid idea to have included him, as long as you had watched the second one you'll always be able to figure out early on, and specially in that last "I hope he makes it" moment, that no matter what happened, Eric was never going to make it... cuz the aliens make it to the island eventually.

Yeah youre absolutely right, part of what makes the human race so powerful, and it's something that's brought up on Parasyte as well, is that humans as a species are not all that superior or scary, but as a collective it's where the power of the human race is seen. You may get rid of one of us, but not only is there always more, but we're constantly learning and communicating. The A Quiet Place franchise seems to have forgotten about that, and even though sure, sound is a big part of communication, I also dont believe that humanity wouldn't have a leg up on the Happies a year in. It'd make more sense to me to have seen a dude just going around Florida riding one of the monsters.

@@PigeonDudeGuy Dudeee lol, the idea of seeing a random drunktard galloping on a death angel is so funny and definitely super realistic. Like even disregarding military level stuff, I full heartedly believe that some random fearless drunk with no sense of danger would just whistle and hop on like it's nothing.

We might see humanity fight back in the next movie. I feel like we don’t really know how much humanity’s been affected by this, is this a global thing? How many survivor groups are there? The movies have yet to explain any of this. All we know is that it’s been a bit over a year since the attack

@@ThisIsAHandle-xz5yo My guess is it's a global thing, since radio communication has been scarce we haven't gotten many headlines but it probably is. Otherwise another country would've bombed the "hive" if it wasn't. I'm hoping that A Quiet Place The Road Ahead has something on it, it being a videogame it has a lot more to offer, item descriptions can give a lot and it's definitely way more than 2 hours of content.
