they actually provided subtitles in the theaters automatically so there are subtitles for these movies, a lot of people make that mistake. but now you know so you can understand what they’re signing for the next movie :) johns character at the end signed “i have *always* loved you.”

I definitely recommend the second one…I think it’s great, if not better then the first one…it’s got so much intense moments as well…

7:42 "There's been no dialogue yet" There has, with the use of ASL (American Sign Language). They used it quite a bit at the opening scene of the movie. ASL and other Sign Languages are real languages, even though they're not "spoken" verbally.

One thing about “A Quiet Place “ that makes it such a powerful viewing experience is the silence. You could hear a pin drop in the movie theater, which one reason it’s a less enjoyable experience at home.

The Universe really wanted them to be a family of 4.

The first time I watched this, I was quiet the whole time. Literally holding my breath, covering my mouth during jump scares. I was like y'all are talking too much lol!! I loved this movie and loved how when they switched to the daughter they would make everything silent, so we could feel what it feels like to be her. Also, that nail scene took me out, I was like I can't do this!! The second one is really good too! Enjoyed your reaction!

The first time I watched this I thought I was going to have a full on panic attack 😂 the most stressful movie ever. The second movie is really good if not better than the first one.

Oh man you should definitely watch the mist. The effects are a little outdated but the feeling it leaves you with is amazing

A brilliant Sci Fi Horror Thriller film! John Krasinski, Director and star of the project, revealed in an interview that the aliens are called Death Angels (Dark Angels, Fallen Angels). They came from a dying world where there was no moom or sun, and after their world was destroyed by a supernova from a nearby star system, they hitched a ride on meteors tht crashed to Earth, where they begin to attack anything that gets in their way, they hunt by sound in the air or in the ground like the Graboids from TREMORS, they have armor plates on their body, making them very difficult to wound or kill, they are agile, aggressive and deadly.

I love how whenever Jane gets scared she always yells at john as if hes the one who wrote the movie😂😂

The Edge of Tomorrow is also an alien invasion movie with Tom Cuize and Emily Blunt again. It is so well acted! Give it a try. Perfect for sci-fi addition.

This is an excellent sci-fi thriller, with a genuinely brilliant concept. Proper sweaty-palmed tension, and the acting is genuinely great. Such a surprise when I first saw it, wasn't expecting anything as effective as this. Part 2 is just as good - you don't have a choice but to continue.

I doubt they were planning on having a baby, especially since lots of kids are conceived despite protection... what do you do in such a world if you find out you're pregnant, but you also can't just go to a hospital or anything? I bet that entire situation was extremely stressful on them all, but they kept on going.

I hate when people watch this film without subtitles, it’s like they miss 80% of the movie because you ARE NOT getting the full experience. I don’t understand how reactors that has thousands of people that they can ask or just google it and doesn’t even know they need to watch it with subtitles, it’s crazy to me. This is the only movie I've seen in a theatre, where everyone in the crowd was actually dead silent.

One of the biggest plot holes of the movie: Why not just live next to the waterfall? Or just have speakers play noises or music all the time to drown out your normal noise?

The mist is great, the end will mess you up but its a good film. A fantastic sci fi is the fifth element if you haven't done that one yet, there's nothing out there like it with a great cast, the score is incredible, I can't really say enough good things about it.

I am deaf and have Cochlear Implants. The part behind the ear is called a processor and it connects by a wire called a coil with a magnet. The magnet attaches to a magnet inside the actual implant that is surgically placed in a drilled-out place in the bone with these wires threaded into the cochlea of the ear. The results of the implants vary for each person with them. I do not know how well the actress that is in this hears. But you can imagine how easily being dependent on the tech that flat batteries or messed up wires can leave you with ZERO hearing ability can be terrifying. Not just in this made-up situation. But imagine having no ability to hear an emergency vehicle blaring a siren behind you and you have NO idea it is there. Or like with me more than once having the tornado warning sirens going off to signal a tornado heading toward my location, but can they be heard if my processor is off my head, nope. It is TERRIFYING. I must admit I do not understand the screeching when the processor was "weaponized." My previously tried actual hearing aids screeched often (at least others told me they were screeching) but CIs don't screech. It might be some feedback between the processor's mic and the amp, but I don't understand how that would work.

People suffocate in corn silos actually with some regularity. It’s not something that happens a lot nowadays, but very common back in the day. Because of how the particle physics work, you sink like it’s water, but can’t breathe and suffocate.

The Mist is a great movie, but it may be a bit too much for Jane ;) You'll have to comfort her a bit. Keep in mind that movie is based on a Stephen King story (like IT) and directed by the guy who created The Walking Dead. That should give you an indication.

You are over thinking things. How about, aliens are just aliens. If the were engineered and it was important to the storyline, they would have addressed it. The old man that screamed… bless his heart. He’s been with his wife, probably over 50 years. He doesn’t want to live without his best friend and love of his life. Sure he could have waited until John & son were away, but when you are in that frame of mind, nothing else matters. I totally get it. On a personal note, I would like to say to Jane, Good Girl!!! I’ve only seen you in the glossy red color of lipstick. That color is meant for a night out. What you have on today is a beautiful earth tone that matches your completion so well. Make up is supposed to enhance your already existing beauty, not over power it. And you are beautiful! (I used to train girls for the Miss Texas beauty pageant. Once it’s in your system, you can’t get out of it!

I didn't enjoy this movie because the stupidity of setting the batteries down and then turning your back on the kid ruined the entire thing for me. I spent the whole rest of the movie just thinking about how stupid those parents were.
