This to me is the best stage performances put up in any ARR shows till date .. the magic touch of improvisation which perfectly blended in and enhanced the song..hariharan sir's voice!! The authentic shy master ARR with his Midas touch .. the teamwork and talent in chorus oncluding clinton .. all the instruments...shivamani .. Naveen !!heavenly. Miss this authenticity these days when people are forcing ARR to appear like michale Jackson with the shades on and all that rehearsed moves ..
Flutist Naveen, Clinton Cerejo , Sivamani and last but not least Hariharan a dream team any musician can ask for. So is the blessed team who have AR Rehman as their director.
I remember the telecast of this concert on tv back in 2000, listened this tune for first time it was magical and still its the same. Never thought i would gonna watch this concert again thanks RU-vid and the uploader for reviving those moments
When i uploaded this song from my DVD, youtube was taking a day time to render the upload and then show as a video. When i watched it i was shocked to see that there is an audio delay. In original it was perfect. I could not correct it in any ways. I tried many times. Apologies. It is not a karaoke or something. It is a live performance. Just this is ruined when i uploaded in youtube in .VOB format.

Its absolutely a live performance and not a karaoke but just a delay in audio. legends like ARR, hari sir and so many aspiriring musicians are a part of this show and they dont have to do a karoake. Didnt all who watched the video see these many musicians at the background? Its like hurting all the musicians who have come to perform live! So much of hardwork for days together is put behind the screens rehearsing for such live concerts. People have to be mindful before making such lifeless comments. They cant even create a single note after all ! Comeon get a life !
Awesome! Such a beautiful, poetic song. I learned Tamil about 50 years ago, and have not spoken it since then after coming to the USA in 1974. My loss. Hearing the original Tamil poetry of this gorgeous song is just incredible. I'm fortunate I bought the DVD years ago, time to play it again to listen to the entire concert!
The hindi version , though equally good with vocals,I personally feel,is lyrically weaker compared to the tamil version. the description given by the hero in tamil is mind blowing!! comparing different colours to his lover's features and nature!! absolutely amazing!!
Anyone listening in Nov 2018?????? awesome cant even forget those melodies and the singers. No auto tuning in those days that's what the real magic is felt even on live shows.....

For those who been saying this song has been lip synced and not performed live bla bla..go n listen the original song repeatedly..n if u are good enough ul find the bass lines are different from the original and this..and the chorus part..its a 14 year old masterpiece..

Pachai nirame song voice is exactly the same as in cassete how can somebody walk around the stage and sing exactly like how performed in a air contrilled room
