I went to visit The Fab Rats today in Utah.... these people are the best! Paul and Hunter weren't there : ( but I met everyone else. They were supper friendly and happy to meet a random kid from South Carolina. Thanks Grandma Lolly for the tour! Keep it up guys and gals and I'll keep watching!

3 days in the mud and muck, Lake Powell rising, & Paul & sons to the rescue. Pretty amazing watching the tow truck pick it up as it finally comes unglued from the depths. The owner of the truck, very lucky to have Fab Rats' 2 rigs make the rescue, impressive.

You could tell Paul was not so happy about having to do this recovery. He wanted to work on his shop. He still did the guy a huge favor by getting him that far. But he was ready to go. He probably has concrete scheduled and needs to get the plumbing finished quick… He can at least call a normal tow truck from there to get it to the shop or home.

Ever tried pumping water around the wheels before trying to pull? Make the mud around the wheels super watery and you'll break the suction. It's as simple as carrying a submersible pump and a hose.

What I say next I know for a fact that I’m not the only person that has said it. Because I have seen several other people use nearly the same words. Here Tiz! “HOW I WISH THAT PAUL & FAMILY WOULD MAKE MUCH LONGER VIDEOS!!!!” Because the videos they produce, the ones that are from 15 minutes to 20 minutes go by so fast that it feels as if it was only 5 minutes.” We, absolutely love this channel so much so that we post many many of their videos up on Facebook!! Don't know if you do, but if you don't, carry a hitch for the receiver that has a D-ring shackle for just such occasions Smart taking the FJ with you, it made the difference in this recovery!

I went to Glendale yesterday to eat at Archies. Could not find it so I stopped at Fab rats to find where it is. (Left my F350 up on the road so I would not get bad mouthed by the boys:) Great people. Found Archies in a city close by and had a FabRats burger. Worth the trip.

Breaking suction: My Uncle Jack had a farm near Walla Walla, Washington, and I remember him getting his tractor stuck in the mud fairly regularly. He'd pull it out with a "horse train", but he had two 8" or so galvanized pipes he would hammer into the mud next to each rear tractor tire. It allowed air to fill the space where the tire was in the mud, eliminating vacuum. I'll bet you could use PVC pipe in a similar way to release the vacuum on some of those difficult pulls. Love the show, keep it up!

How much weight can be applied professor RU-vid? Paul hooked to it with “STATIC” line! There’s no way it can recoil yet you with all you infinite knowledge know better? No you don’t. You’re watching a video and want so bad to sound intelligent or whatever. In fact you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about. That is a 1 ton truck so it’s a 12,000 or 18,000# rated tow hitch. All the vehicles weight together can’t break that hitch. If you’re going to claim to know math- you really ought not speak because you’re so ignorant that you’re grandchildren are embarrassed

Breaking suction is the key to getting un stuck folk's.Had they put boards down and jacked up the truck then put boards under the tires they would have got it out. Look before you leap when off roading kid's had they taken 5 minutes to test the land they wouldn't have got stuck.But then we wouldn't have got to watch You guys made this look simple nice job guy's
