The magic of the streets of London in the rain at night. The lights reflect off the wet sidewalks and everything becomes bright and cheerful. That's wonderful. Thank you Ami WW for this beautiful walk, although wet!!. 😀😀😀😀😀
Beautiful Video, as usual, and continuous too. I subscribed a couple of years ago and always enjoy your Vids. What an amazing town London is, especially in the Rain. Cheers from San Diego, California
Btw, the Wet (Whet?) pavement coupled with tall buildings, well lit on both sides of the street makes it a feast for the eyes and senses, the dark sky above, contrasts with the colors (colours) nicely making it feel Cosy. Cheers
It’s been such a wet autumn and winter in England this year. It’s just been rain, rain, and more RAIN! ☔️☔️☔️ The streets of London do look good in the rain though.
Quite by chance I happened to watch the John Wayne movie 'Brannigan' over the weekend, which is predominately in a 1970's London, and a pivotal scene is set in Piccadilly Circus. There's plenty of overhead shots, which was the style at the time, until I spotted that double-decker buses were actually driving between the iconic fountain & Lilywhites, (seen on the right at the very beginning of the video), directly after exiting Shaftsbury Avenue, and then down Regents Street St James's. This vexed me greatly as I know that area very well and know it's impossible for any long vehicle to make that turn, pre-paving or otherwise. As it happens, the fountain has been removed & re-sited several times for a multitude of reasons, the most recent being in the mid-80's to where it is now, whereas before it was a lot closer to the famous video wall, by at least it's own width. Took me several watches of that scene to figure out where the cameras were shooting from until I realised why it just looked 'off'.
@petemk73 Yes, I have seen old London footage with the fountain on a roundabout in a different position. I don't think I've seen that scene in Brannigan, I'll need to look it up.
Despite the rainy evening in London it was still a fantastic walk and everyone looked like they enjoyed being out walking around in the rain another great walk Thanks Watched Walker.🇬🇧🇬🇧
