Yeah pet peeve of mine when "experts" review scopes and will describe an example of 2-10x44 and say "2 by 10 by 44"...... Should be "2 to 10" or "2 thru 10" but not 2 by 10......
I do prefer quality "glass" over high magnification. If you have sh!t glass, magnification will make it worse! Give me a $300 Sig MSR LPVO 1-6 over a $300 6-24 etc....
Just got an Arlen 1-8 mounted today. Time to see if I screwed up or not. Put it on a kd4 bcm upper. Triggertech duty flat 2stage. Pile of fresh loaded mk 262 to miss stuff with…. Ahhh yea. Other reviews had me worried about the daytime brightness, I’m not 100% sure, but I put it to a white wall and lit it up with a stream light and it didn’t wash out. Not sold on the reticle yet but we’ll see!
Oh absolutely. And yea I am in agreement that optics have gotten so good lately that the minutiae is really the biggest part of reviews. But C_does has gained everyone’s trust because of his review structure. Even in my life most $600 optics are just as good if not better than the majority of high end scopes made about 10years ago.
Here's the deal. Optics these days are top notch. Glass clarity, solid build, geat turrets, zero stop, and even descent pricing! The biggest problem is - the damn reticles. These xmas tree BS. You cant see the damn target for all the bars, hashes, numbers, lines, stadias. Shit man make it simple again and let me see what im aiming at.
Myself LVPO 1-6 is ideal. At the appature size greater magnification is ridiculous. I know you love value if you do not mind 2nd focal plane TRACT seems awesome to me. The options offered is crazy from hunting - Precision in 40mm.
I did not realize until the last year the top number is a multiple of the bottom number bl excluding lpvo. Now I know I prefer a 4 or 5x. The highest low power I now prefer is 3. I ignore all other scopes.

I don't agree with everything he promotes but who cares, it's a laugh. Especially when he reads his mean emails (like celebrity mean tweets.)
So what about doing a drawing for one of your viewers to go hunting with yall....that would be pretty dope. Lol and not all of us have the chance to use high end equipment to hunt and that would be really cool to test out the stuff yall use. Like high end optics, custom ammo, rifles, and calls ect...just food for Thought lol
