A rapidly growing bracket  

This fellow is definitely "on the grow" as can be seen y the drops of guttation on it.
It;s been very hot and dry lately, and I'm wondering if exuding these drops of moisture harms the fungus? Does anyone out there know? If you do, please share in the comments.
