Truly an amazing find. My wife and I both gasped when you flipped what we thought was a copper. Your excitement flew right out the TV. Thank you for the work you do.
Ed, Congratulations on the G.W. Button and to Kendall on his 1812 buttons. You just never know what to expect. That reaction of yours is priceless. I'm so excited just to witness that moment. May you have a great 2020 of treasure finds. Donnie - W.V. 01/18/2020
Well Ed, first saw this on DK's Adventures in Dirt, then watched this video!! What an amazing, amazing find. Super congratulations. I swore I already left a comment, but I scrolled down thru ALL the comments (WoW is this find generating the buzz!) and didn't see mine, so again typing this. Have been hunting 3 years now here in Tampa Bay Florida, and have found about a half dozen finds I never thought I would around here, but man, what a find. CONGRATS!!!! Continued success. Rob FlThunder (Florida Thunder) ps- super impressive you've left a response to every comment!!!!
If you had left one I would have been sure to respond. Thank you for the comment and the support of my channel. I'm doing it out of the thrill of the hunt and the joy of sharing my adventures with all those willing to come along. As you saw, not all that comment understand the passion and thrill of the finds but that's ok. This region of the world is only a dream to many and I want to bring the scenery and history to their screen so all can appreciate the place I call home. Happy hunting!
I love how you just had the GW in your video like any normal dig so I got to experience the initial sight of it with you and I got the chills when I saw it. What a beauty and a huge congratulations to you!
To find one of those has to be nirvana. I would be just as excited as you were sir and just to hold it in your hands would be a thrill beyond comprehension. Congrats on that rare find!
Thank you! I feel foolish with how I reacted but it's a dream find for me and one I may never make again. I appreciate you watching and thanks for the comment!
I have been detecting for at least a decade and like you I primarily like colonial stuff. The GW is at the top of my bucket list. I have watched your video probably a dozen times and I image I would have had the exact reaction you had. I love it, congratulations!!!
Thank you Ed...Wow Wow Wow...what a find, your videos are so inspiring and have reignited my desire to treasure hunt.I love how you highlight your friends finds too, Jim is so happy go lucky kind of guy and I am happy when he is on one of your searches...thank you thank you...john from isle madame,NS
Thanks, John! I'm happy you enjoy our adventures. It's always a good time no matter who I'm with but Jim definitely is a character. We've been digging since the beginning together. Keep an eye out.. you might see him in the next adventure with a bucketlist find! Happy hunting, buddy.
I’m new to your channel and going through your videos. I got instant chills when I saw you flip it and GW appeared. The holy grail dude!! Love your channel and I’ve subscribed. Looking forward to more great videos!!
Thank you! Just trying to share the adventure. More to come and a new video drops every two weeks during the digging season. I would do more but.. the m-f job gets in the way lol. I appreciate your support!
That GW coin must be THE Holy Grail of the ultimate colonial bucket list. I've watched this episode several times already and I still get excited watching your reaction. Just the shock on your face says it all. Most excellent find EVER, Ed!
It's my most prized button in my collection! I have other footage too of me geeking out but it's too embarrassing to show. Maybe in extra footage videos one day lol
Thank you for your comment and the time you spend watching. It's a day I'll never forget. Hopefully, I'll get to more digging soon but life has not been very accommodating recently. Family and health before hobbies! You'll see more adventures soon though and I look forward to sharing 🙂
Hello from New Zealand, I watch a few detecting channels and this video is one of my favourites. So good seeing you find such a treasure. You guys did really good out there. Thanks for sharing.
My wife and I just started watching your videos last night. And to watch you dig that button while videoing was absolutely amazing congratulations on an awesome find we will be watching your videos from now on
Thank you so much for the support and taking time to comment. Happy to share my adventures with anyone willing to watch. Happy New Year to you and your family!
@@DetectEdOutdoors we don't have cellar holes here or anything that old. I need to head up that way some day just to find a old copper.we have them but not that old
Good on ya, Ed! It's a pleasure to see moments of genuine, unrehearsed elation. Definitely well deserved. Here's to continued outstanding finds for you and your buddies in the future. We'll be watching.
Absolutely agree find brother a GW that would be a lifetime fine for me outside of the holy Grail congratulations on such a great find and a great video the both of you guys your knowledge of the history of these things is incredible looking forward to looking at all your videos
That is one of the best detecting finds I have ever seen. I have been digging for only 8-10 years. That is the most awesome Flip ever done on camera. Congrats
Nice find on the GW. Love diggin Rev war period. I'm stuck diggin in the 1600s, I just pulled up a 1600s Spanish Missionary seal, second one ever found in the USA. First was the Dorion seal. St Augustine Florida est 1565.
Just trying to share my experiences and capture the fun and excitement. Unfortunately not everyone sees it that way but it won't stop me from having fun with it all. Thanks for watching and the sub!
We live an an incredibly historically rich area and are very blessed! Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment. Hopefully, I can continue to keep everyone entertained with our adventures! Happy hunting.
Thank you! It's in a VERY safe place and preserved for many years to come now. We'll be heading back to that site soon! Stay tuned. All my best to you and your family.
@@DetectEdOutdoors absolutely and looking forward to it. Also new sub. And catching up on all the other videos. Love it all and the History. Great job, God bless.
@@lindakinsman6215 Thank you. More to come. Just hasn't been a great winter with all the snow. Also had my dog need caring and now the virus scare has slowed down videos but they are coming!
Congratulations! That GW button is truly amazing. The shape it is in and the history behind it. Thanks for sharing your videos with us. Enjoyed Watching from Southwest Tennessee 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Ed!! We’re so proud and so happy for you! Couldn’t stop smiling at your big moment, loooooved this video!!! What an amazing find! ❤️❤️❤️ Yay you!!! Happy weekend, enjoy your GW to the fullest!!!!!!! So cool!!!
Thank you for the comment! So awesome to share the moment with everyone. A day I'll never forget. Still can't believe it and so happy I had my buddy Kendall along to share in the excitement!
It made my husband and I think of our greatest finds (we’ve never found a GW though) but it’s been a fun brain exercise, we’ve found a lot of (fun) stuff in 3 years! How long have you been detecting, if I may ask?
That button is locked up tight! I hope I find another one day but chances are, this one will be the only one I ever find. I can't say I don't take it out and stare at it from time to time lol
DUUUUUDE! Bout half way through the vid, I was already thinking of my comment. Ur typical... "Nice finds guys!" then at 10:44 or so, I think I said it before you did... "OMG...OMG...OMG..." I mean, I've only found 6 of those GW's (Hell no. Not really lol) & I was thinking how many $20 Gold coins would I have to find to equal THAT? I couldn't come up with a #!! AWESOME find and I feel your excitement believe me! (40 year swinger here!) New sub. Now, go find another one!!
Haha! Thanks for the awesome comment. I'm glad you enjoyed. Definitely a day I'll never forget and very grateful I got it all on camera so I'm able to relive the moment and share with others. I appreciate your support!
@@Metrorenovationsandmore I run Fishers. Love the F75 LTD! I'll swing them for years to come I'm sure! I like to use default mode with sensitivity manually put in around 80-85 when I'm in the woods. I dig ALL repeatable tones and any with a high peak. Let me know if you have questions in other videos and I'll let you know what I was running!
@@DetectEdOutdoors Thank you! You mean you don't need a Nox or Deus to make great finds? I'm shocked! Lol - Those F75's are awesome machines! My next unit will be a Patriot (F70) so it seems great hunters think alike! Now I just have to go find a GW of my own! (Might be tough down here in Ga.) I'll keep watching!
WOW!! What a way to find ur channel...popped up clicked on it n saw u did THAT!!! Obviously subbed. Can’t w8 go back through all ur other vids!!! BIG CONGRATS!!! Curious on how u will clean it??? GLHH next time...
Some advise, patience and nerves of steal! I regret not filming the process but I wanted to be sure it had my full attention. Maybe next time... If it ever happens again! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Much appreciated 😁
😆 I bet!! I was curious bc I just found a civil war gold I button... usually with my plan flat buttons or what not I just soap water brush... but it was thinkin of maybe using a little like CLR on it... do u wash em or just brush? U should show it some time cleaned up ...that’s what dreams of detecting are made of 👊🏻. Love ur vids. Watched about 5 so far 😆
@@brianthebuckleywoodsman7869 you can see the button on my Facebook page. Also, Instagram @detectedoutdoors3 The third photo in the video is the final product after I cleaned it.
