I find it very sad that this was uploaded over 2 1/2 years ago butyet this has only been viewed 21 times and no one has left any comments? Robert Bly is one of the our country's most influencial poets!!!!!
I first heard about Robert Bly on some kind of PBS special. I was in high school. I heard about him again when I read "Riders on the Storm" by John Densmore. Densmore discussed his experience attending a Minnesota Men's Conference retreat. It sounded profound. Something else came up and I once again put Robert Bly on the Shelf. 5 years of military service, Home ownership, One Interstate move, Two children, and many failed relationships later, some little invisible bird whispered into my ear the name of Robert Bly. And over the past couple months I've been introduced to a world of ecstatic poetry and mythology and delving into my own masculine shame. The words of Robert Bly contain wisdom that transcends through us all.
Thank you mr Bly, Robert introduced me to the mythological road that helped me get my gold back. Through his lectures, and readings he’s given me a new outlook as to where I had gaping holes in what I thought was a solid manhood foundation. It’s sends a dart through my soul to see Bly so close to his journey home, and we still haven’t used him up fully yet. Read Iron John.
